LEMERY BATANGAS: AN ANALYSIS

Statement of the Problem

This study aims to analyze the extent of community participation in crime

prevention and control as perceived by barangay officials in the municipality of

Lemery Batangas.

Specifically, this aimed to answer the following questions:

1. What is the profile of the respondents in terms of:


1.1 age;
1.2 sex;
1.3 highest educational attainment;
1.4 civil status;
1.5. position in the barangay; and
1.6. number of years as barangay official?
2. How do barangay officials perceived the extent of community participation in
crime prevention and control in terms of;
2.1 planning;
2.2 implementing;
2.3 monitoring; and
2.4 shared benefits?
3. Is there a significant difference on the respondent’s analysis in the
abovementioned variables when grouped according to profiles variables?
4. Based on the findings, what output may be proposed to improve the
participation of the community in crime prevention and control?
