.940 which means that the instrument is reliable and valid. Such statistical tool

used were frequency and percentage, weighted mean, independent t-test and

one-way analysis of variance. Majority of the respondents are in the age

bracket of 36-45, male, married, high school graduate, position in barangay is

Sangguniang Barangay Member or Barangay Konsehal and 3-6 years in the

service. In terms of planning, implementing, monitoring and shared benefits

was agreed by the barangay officials assessment that abovementioned

variables are still practice by the community.

Based on the result, it was found out that barangay officials assessment

regarding in age, sex, civil status and position in the barangay was not

significant in all variables. Nonetheless, highest educational attainment was

significant only in terms of monitoring. And lastly, number of years as barangay

official is the only demographic profile which is significant in three variables

which are monitoring, implementing and shared benefits. The researcher

proposed a plan of action based on the result of the study which consist of the

areas concern, findings, objective/s, person involved and expected outcomes

which may maintain and the same time improve the community participation

towards crime prevention and control in the Municipality of Lemery Batangas.
