SOCIAL MEDIA ENGAGEMENT AMONG POLICE OFFICERS
IN THE MUNICIPAL POLICE STATION OF SAN NICOLAS, BATANGAS

Statement of the Problem

This study aims to determine the level of social media engagement

among police officers in the Municipal Police Station of San Nicolas, Batangas.

Specifically, it sought to answer the following:


1. What is the profile of the respondents in terms of:
1.1. age;
1.2. sex;
1.3. civil status;
1.4. number of years in the service; and
1.5. police rank?
2. What is the level of social media engagement to modern policing
in terms of:
2.1. Increase dissemination of ICT resources;
2.2. Connection with police;
2.3. Increased awareness of crime-in at risk groups; and
2.4. Prevention strategies
3. Are the significant differences on respondent assessment on the
social media engagement among police officers to modern policing
when grouped according to profile variables?
4. What recommendation may be proposed to enhance the social
media engagement among police officers in the Municipal Police Station
of San Nicolas, Batangas ?

working on a thesis paper entitled: “SOCIAL MEDIA ENGAGEMENT AMONG

POLICE OFFICERS IN THE MUNICIPAL POLICE STATION OF SAN

NICOLAS, BATANGAS”. The purpose of this study is to determine the

importance of social media in terms of policing, which will serve as a basis for.

PNP Personnel and citizens to be vigilant and responsible in the use of social

media.
