I AM SAM
Sam is a Jolly Starbuck work we will be a new father. He has mental retardation and
autistic tendencies. The mother of his child left him because the woman want a home to live
in and Sam welcome her and have intercourse with her. Even if that woman left them Sam
try his best to raise his daughter with the help of his friends and neighbors. Later on, the
authorities have discovered about Sam’s intellectual capacity and is concerned if he could
properly raise his own daughter since his daughter is found to be afraid of learning because
she might get ahead of her father. On his daughter’s birthday, they took her away. Sam needs
a lawyer to get custody of his daughter. He found a lawyer who aided him in the process, but
his daughter was also placed with foster parents. Sam and his lawyer were both struggling for
custody. Still, in the end, his daughter's foster family knew that they couldn't have the same
level of affection that Sam did.

The main character's mental capability was like a 7-year-old boy. He struggles with
reading, writing, and occasionally comprehending the situation, but he did demonstrate that
he loves organizing. I haven't had any remedies for Sam's illness other than obtaining legal
advice for court orders.

I very touching story of a father with mental retardation. It provide audience

awareness on person with autism that they can also function as a normal person but they need
assistance. We can also learn from them like how randy and Rita learn from Sam. We just
need to be patient since they have difficulties.
A BEAUTIFUL MIND
A Beautiful Mind is a film based from the real story of John Nash, a Nobel Laureate
in Economics and Abel Prize winner. The story starts as he enrolls as a new graduate student
at Princeton University. He is seen with a few friends, but one that was close to him was just
a part of his hallucinations, which were later discovered. After his studies, he met his wife
and became a teacher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Then, he managed to
decrypt enemy telecommunications encryptions. Nash was able to decipher the code mentally
and fascinate everyone around him. He was then assigned to work on deciphering other
rivals' secrets. He began acting strangely soon after a shooting incident, which alarmed his
wife. His wife immediately called a psychiatric hospital and got John admitted, exposing his
fantasies about his best friend and his espionage work. He was hospitalized and finally
released to live with his wife and son, but he was having psychotic episodes again, which
nearly killed his child. He was able to work out who and what was behind his hallucinations
later on. He was able to differentiate between what was true and what was not. This allowed
him to resume his career and even receive the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economics for his
groundbreaking work in game theory.
Agitation, hallucinations, and self-harm were among the actions that John exhibited.
He was given insulin shock therapy, a psychotic therapy specifically for schizophrenia, after
he was admitted to a mental institution. Large doses of insulin will be pumped into the
patient, inducing coma. It was felt that the treatment would assist with mental clarity.
The movie provide audience an awareness on schizophrenia and break the stigma
about it. People can be as successful as John Nash even if he experience schizophrenia
IT'S KIND OF A FUNNY STORY
Craig, a teenage boy who is depressed and on the brink of suicide, is the protagonist
of the film. The pressure he experiences from being admitted to the "right school" and his
relationship with his friends and father may have led to the growth of his depression and/or
suicidal episodes. During one of his depressive episodes, he called for help and was
eventually admitted to a mental hospital. He found other patients with various mental
illnesses there.
Craig's symptoms included trouble sleeping, fatigue, excessive brain "cycling,"
constant worry, and a desire to die. He has previously been treated with Zoloft, a serotonin
reuptake inhibitor. When he got stronger, he started taking it on his own. When he was
hospitalized, however, he was seen engaging in leisure sports and participating in simple
everyday activities like the other patients. Many of the other patients in the film had
psychiatric disorders of their own. One was schizophrenic and could still be heard talking to
someone, even though no one was around. Others had sensitive ears, never got out of bed,
hurt themselves, and even attempted suicide.
For me the reason why the movie is made is to provide awareness on depression and
what a depressed person experience in daily basis
