1. Is spanking a child an acceptable form of discipline or is it abusive? What determines the appropriateness of discipline? Who should make these decisions and why? In my opinion spanking a child is a abuse and not acceptable form of discipline. A growing child still have things that they can comprehend so they still can committed mistakes or error that needs for punishment or discipline. They need to grow and as an adult they need to be guided so that they can be a responsible adult. I think all older people that surround the child should be the one who will decide how to discipline the child especially the parents of it. Most of child copy the hobby of people that surround them and if the adult do good things, the child also copy how the adult do things 2. After actively listening on the client ask them if they can still can’t still control his temper and if not tell them techniques that can be use when he have an temper issue. 3. 1. You discover that another nurse on your hospital unit has taken Valium from the client’s medication supply. You confront the nurse and he/she replies, “I’m under a lot of stress at home. I’ve never done anything like this before and I promise it will never happen again”. What should you do and why? As a fellow nursing staff, I will stop and tell her that it can be harmful for her health and also in her profession since she take drugs that is for the client and also taking drug without physician’s order is harmful for her. i will also tell her that there are more activity that she can release her stress like talking with fellow nurses.
2. In England, medical clinics provide daily doses of drugs such as
heroin at no charge to persons who are addicted in efforts to decrease illegal drug traffic and low crime rates. Is this effective method? Would you advocate this in the Philippines? Why? I think this method is effective but in the Philippines there are people that can take this method and use it to sell it to other addicts. I also think that in the Philippines, the user of heroin are in the upper class so providing them drugs can provide conflicts. I would suggest it to some people who is highly addicted but not completely for all.
