publications for researchers affiliated with the Center for Advanced Energy Studies.

Cartographic Technician January 2021 – Present
Bureau of Land Management, Miles City, MT
• Used ArcGIS Pro and python to create and run a model finding suitable lands for wind and solar
farms, model used slope, aspect, wind speed, solar irradiance, land ownership and other data.
• Cross-referenced BLM and NRCS vegetation and Sage Grouse data from ArcGIS online with
field office records and parsed that data by ecological site and Sage Grouse management status.
• Used python to create a tool that performed various geoprocessing steps to prepare noxious weed
geospatial data and metadata for input to ArcGIS online.
• Digitized weed treatment data from hardcopy maps, georeferenced points using USGS topo maps.
• Collected GIS points with Collector and ArcGIS Field maps in the field such as Sage Grouse leks
and prescribed burn areas.

• Instructor of two 25 student sections of the NC 021 College Algebra Lab taught twice weekly.

Idaho National Lab (INL) request for proposal.
• Assisted team members in writing a request for information which was submitted to the director

Greek Sustainability Council & Smart Metering Project January 2019 – May 2020

• Founded a group to bring together sustainability-minded students on the University of Idaho
campus and implement sustainability projects.
• Managed a group of eight students, assigning tasks and asking for input on project ideas.
• Submitted a finished copy of a request for proposal to the U of I Sustainability Center and was
granted a $2,300 budget to install Sense smart meters in Greek residences.
• Coordinated between house residents, groundskeepers, and electricians to have meters installed.
Resulted in four meters being installed, all of which are still operational and providing residents
with information critical to adopting sustainable behaviors.

University of Idaho Football July 2017 – May 2019
• Played on the offensive line of the University of Idaho football team for a year and was a coach
of the offensive line for another year.
University of Idaho Solar Ambassador
• Participated in a grassroots and social media driven fundraising campaign to raise money and
support for the installation of 350+ solar panels atop of the IRIC building on campus. By end of
campaign, Sustainability Center raised 1/3rd of entire project’s budget, with the rest being
university funded.

CAES Workshop August 8th - 9th , 2020
Helped host a two-day workshop where academics, government employees and industry members came
together to highlight strengths and weaknesses of their research areas and current U.S. hydropower
policy. These notes were then used in a whitepaper and RFI which was submitted to the director of the
Center for Advanced Energy Studies (CAES).
