 Corruption- El Filibusterismo presents a clear message that Philippines is
governed by corrupt and self-seeking officials but it didn’t propose a solution in the
novel. He want Filipinos to be prepare themselves, to make themselves worthy of
freedom, and the God will grant the means, be it revolution or peaceful. 
 Injustice- Noli Me Tangere is a novel that served as an advisory to Filipinos to
fight against the colonizers and serves as a reminder of our history today. It instructs
us to be good role models for our country. 
 Poverty- “Study nations that have indeed prospered and do what they are
doing.” This came from his work “El Filibusterismo” where he was speaking
through Simoun. He had traveled to many countries and studied them and learned
from it. He was saying that if we will do it, could industrialize and become
powerful. Rizal’s advice on economic development is, we should follow the path
of developing countries that have become rich. 
 Abuse- Rizal’s works became manuals for Filipino people about Philippine
independence movement and he wants us to put it into action. We should
fight fight for our freedom, rights, inequality and abuse.  
 Disloyalty on own country- We must patronize our country by respecting the law,
promoting Philippine culture, and realizing the true goal of the country by helping
each other towards the improvement of the country. Rizal said on his work through
Elias “It is never a crime to fight for one’s country”.
