SPECIFICATIONS

SECTION I: METAL: STRUCTURAL AND MISCELLANEOUS

1. SCOPE. This section include miscellaneous metal work necessary to complete


the project.
2. Steel plates. Bars and rods shall be local standard commercial steel of sizes indicated.

3. Fastener and anchor bolts. Provide fastener, anchors and bolts as necessary for the
installation of the work shown.

4. Bolts, nuts and washers shall be local standard commercial grade of sizes indicated.

5. Workmanship. Metal; surfaces shall be clean and free from sill scale, rush, well
formed and finished to shape and size with sharp line and angles and smooth.

SECTION II. CARPENTRY

1. SCOPE. Includes all rough and finish carpentry and joinery complete.

2. Grading and mixing of lumber shall be in accordance with accepted commercial


practices and shall be approved quality of each respective kind is well seasoned
and thoroughly dry, free from loose of unsound knots, shades, pitch makers or
other imperfections affecting its strength, durability or appearance.

3. Lumber required to be dressed two or four sides, shall be worked on the


plaining smooths, level and true to line. Maximum reduction for
dressed dimensions of kiln-dried lumber; rough dimensions of width and depth
up to 160 mm. Rough dimensions of width and depth greater than 165 mm. For
non kiln-dried lumber use a reduction only 6 mm. For all sizes.

SECTION III: FINISH HARDWARE

1. SCOPE. This section includes all finish hardware and miscellaneous hardware c
and miscellaneous hardware complete

2. Requirements. All required finish and miscellaneous hardware shall be provided

.to necessary leave the work complete for newly installed doors. All hardware items
shall be o the type size and design best suited for the purpose.

3. Door butt hinges shall be wrought steel, button tip ball mortise for heavy duty
application and shall have, five knuckles and with loose pin. Butt hinges shall
be 100 mm. Hinge shall have plate bearings. Door pins shall be such, that it
cannot be removed when the doors are closed. Hinges furnished shall be
complete with standard sets of wood screws for proper application. Provide four
hinges for each door installation. Install top hinge 200 mm. From door top edge
top edge to the hinge horizontal centerline to the finished door line. The two
horizontal centerline to the finished door line. The two middle hinges shall be
equally spaced between top and bottom hinges.

4. Haspslock shall be model 450 “Master” new-tapered design, rolled edge, concealed
screws or equivalent. In stall the haspslock 1.00 m. from the finish floor line.
5. Door pulls shall be “STANLEY” 1257; size no. 2 mm.x 8 mm.cap screws or
equivalent wrought steel, bright zinc plated. Install the door pulls on opposite sides
of the door, 85 centimeters from the door pull horizontal centerline to the finish
floor line.

6. Hasps and staples shall be “STANLEY” 975 wrought steel or equivalent with 127
mm. Hook and 227 mm.x 7-mm. Flat head wood screws. The staples shall be
screwed on the inside face of the door sash, 1.20 above the finish floor line.

7. Keying System. All door locks shall be keyed individually and three keys shall be
provided for each lock.

SECTION IV: PLUMBING SYSTEM AND FIXTURES

THE FOLLOWING PLUMBING PIPES SHALL BE USED:

MOLDEX BLUE – shall be use to to potable water pipings

SANIMOLD EXTRA – shall be use for drain, waste and vent piping system.

MOLDEX BLUE – moldex green shall be use to potable water piping system unless
otherwise
indicated

1. All roughing-in shall be cast iron soil pipe or PVC and should have a minimum
slope of “1” per foot length.
2. All water lines shall be of local G.I. pipes or PVC at schedule 40.

3. Philippine standard or saniwares water closets and lavatories shall be provided


for toilet rooms.

4. Non-reinforced storm drainage pipe (concrete) with a minimum slope of 1%.

SECTION IV: ELECTRICAL:
THE FOLLOWING PIPES SHALL BE USE TO ALL ELECTRICAL CONDUITS.

MOLDEX UPVC ORANGE PIPE – shall be use to all electrical and communication conduit system
and other similar use in electrical works.

1. The latest edition of the National Electrical code of the Philippines shall be
applied.

2. Installation of conduit shall be done in MOLDEX UPVC conduit or PIPES


embedded in
concrete walls. No open wiring shall be used.

3. Conduit boxes shall get flush with the surface of the walls. All fixtures shall be of
approved quality and properly installed. Conduit, junction, pull boxes shall be
fitted with proper box covers.
4. No conductor shall be less than no. 14 AWG Use no.14 AWG for lighting circuit
run, no. 12 AWG FOR wall outlets circuits run.

SECTION IV: WOOD PROTECTION

1. Paris Green Solution. Apply one (1) coat solution of 0.113 kg. By parts green
powder mixed with 4.54 liters diesel, oil wood members with minor
BANAKAL.

2. Spar Varnish. All exposed surfaces of doors, windows and exterior roof face
boards shall be painted with a base coat or linseed oil.

After the base coat of linseed oil on wood surfaces mention above has
thoroughly oil on wood surfaces mentioned above has thoroughly dried, paint
one coat of exterior grade varnish (equal to Sherwin William Co.Hixpar No.
A67V24).

SECTION V. PAINTING

1. Concrete neutralizer shall be applied on all concrete surfaces before applying


paint.

2. Paints shall be boysen, or its equivalent.

SECTION VI: GRILLS (OPTIONAL)

1. All grill works (alum.) installed outside the window shall be of


best quality of materials and workmanship, ready for operation with all
necessary accessories including anchorage, braces and locking devices.

2. The contractor shall before proceeding for manufacturing, prepare and submit
complete shop drawings and installation drawing for approval.

3. These were fabricated in the metal shop whether electrically welded on all
connections or riveted as the case may be, grind and coped on all corner
sections

4. Prior to installation in place, apply oxide primer coat before application of


finished coat of painting. Use approved quality of metal paint of selected color
scheme for grill works.

SECTION VII. TILE ADHESIVE (USE ABC TILE ADHESIVE)

1. SURFACE PREPARATION:

The substrate must be fully cured; structurally stable and level; smooth, clean and
free
From dirt, dust, loose materials, oils, chemicals and other contaminants.

2. MIXING:

Into a plastic pail containing clean tap water, pour a sufficient quantity of ABC
TILE
ADHESIVE that may be used within the pot of 3-4 hours. A 25-kilo bag of ABC
TILE
ADHESIVE NEEDS approximately 8 liters of water. CAUTION: use only plastic or
Galvanized iron sheet as mixing base. Stir with device to by hand. Wait 15 minutes,
Then, mix again briefly. The tile adhesive is now ready for use. This mix will be
usable
within 3-4 hours.

3. APPLICATION:

1. Wet the substrate lightly before applying the tile adhesive especially during
hot or windy conditions
2. Spread the adhesive mortar over one (1) square area at a time and comb with
special notched trowel (available from ABC or its dealer). Fix the tiles
immediately within the adhesives open time of 15 minutes.

3. Adjust and align accordingly. Carry out random checks every 5 square meters
to determine whether the backs of tiles are fully covered with adhesive. Also
check if the adhesive mortar still adheres to your fingers. If not, remove the
adhesive layer and throw away. Do not mix with a newly prepared batch of
tile adhesive mortar.

SECTION VIII. TILE WORKS:

1. Scope. This section includes ceramic tiles.

2. General. The work shall not be started until the rough-in for plumbing and
electrical work has been completed and tested. The work of all other trades in
the area where tile work is to be done shall be protected from damage in a
skillfully manner as directed.

3. Tiles for all floor shall be 600mm.x600mm. Ceramics.

NOTE: In case of conflict between this digest specifications and the


working drawings, the Rule of Architect shall govern all further revisions on
this specifications and the working drawing shall be first approved by the
Architect.
