The best part of my Senior Project was having the opportunity to explore a career field
that I am interested in going into when I get older. It was good to experience what work
would be like in this career field. The worst part of my project was trying to find time to
work with clients since I am in school and have such a busy schedule.
● List three things you now know after completing your Senior Project.
While completing my project, I learned about the paperwork involved in buying and
selling homes, I learned how to professionally market a house, and I learned about
working with clients.
● Which aspect of the Senior Project/Senior Seminar stretched you the most? How did
you feel about and react to this challenge?
Learning about all paperwork that is necessary for selling and buying homes pushed
me the most. There was a lot to learn and it took me a long time to learn the purpose
of each paper. It was a long process but it is necessary to learn. I am happy that I feel
familiar with the paperwork.
● How has the Senior Project/Senior Seminar changed you (skills, attitudes, work
habits, capabilities, confidence, poise, presentation, etc.)?
My Senior Project has made me feel way more comfortable in the field of Real Estate
and I have grown a respect for people in this career field. I also gained skills such as
time management, organization, and problem-solving.
● What would you do differently if you had to do the whole Senior Project/Senior
Seminar process again?
If I were to restart my Senior Project, I would take a Real Estate course and receive
my Real Estate License. I enjoyed my project and learning how Real Estate works but
it would have been fun to receive my license.
The advice that I would give to next year’s seniors is to pick a project that will
provide experiences within a career field that you are interested in. This will allow
you to explore that specific career field. I explored the field of Real Estate and I had
great experiences and I now feel very comfortable getting into this career field.
● What grade would you give yourself for your Senior Project and what justification do
you have for that grade?
If I had to give myself a grade on my senior project, I would give myself an A. I feel
that I have worked hard to become familiar with a completely new field of work that I
had no prior experience in. I learned a lot of useful information that will benefit me in
the future. Overall, I worked incredibly hard to put together this project in such a way
that clearly shows what I learned.
