■ What were the best and worst parts of the Senior Project/Senior Seminar?
The best part of my project was getting to learn how to wire things for a commercial building. The worst part was
on my first day and I didn’t bring a water bottle and was very thirsty.
■ List three things you now know after completing your Senior Project.
o You can’t have wires touch the lower ceiling of the building.
o You have to use certain wires for a commercial building.
o The drywall is hard to not accidentally break.
■ Which aspect of the Senior Project/Senior Seminar stretched you the most? How did you feel about and react to
this challenge?
When going into this, I had never worked on a work site, so seeing everyone working made it hard to stay out of
everyone's way. I did well, but I just stuck to my area and made sure to pick up the items I had.
■ How has the Senior Project/Senior Seminar changed you (skills, attitudes, work habits, capabilities, confidence,
poise, presentation, etc.)?
It helped me get used to working with a team of people and not just myself. I learned how to wire up a
commercial-grade building.
This project made me realize that I do like this field of work and want to continue down this path. I liked how nice
everyone was and how they would help me understand what I was doing.
■ What would you do differently if you had to do the whole Senior Project/Senior Seminar process again?
I would try to do more days to see if I could learn more about the different wiring. It was hard to understand what
was exactly going on when I was only there for two days.
Get your project done right away so you don’t have much to worry about later. I would also say to make sure you
take many pictures.
■ What grade would you give yourself for your Senior Project and what justification do you have for that grade?
I would give myself a B+ because I learned a lot during this project, but I wish I had done more than 2 days.
