Executive summary :
 Overview:
The Importance of Laundry and Dry Cleaning cannot be over emphasized especially Pakistan
cities here a large portion of its citizenry are middle class average incomes workers with time
demanding jobs. The life style of people in Benin City has changeover the years. Now a Days,
the “housewife” concept is gradually fading away leading to More women who were usually
accustomed to carrying out household laundry spending more time at workplace. Also people
are more conscious about their clothes and use more sophisticated measures for cleaning
clothes. There is also the fact that some people especially students and workers barely have time
for their laundry due to tight schedule. Beside households, commercial businesses such as hotel,
industry, restaurants, boarding schools and other offices also needs the services of laundry &
dry cleaning on day-to-day basis. This particular feasibility report is intended to provide
information for setting up an integrated laundry and dry cleaning business. It is expected to
provide a range of services relating to domestic and commercial sector customers. These
services range from washing, drying and pressing of fabric wears to complex and more
professional services like cleaning sensitive stuff, blankets, curtains, rugs and other home
accessories for both households and commercial businesses.

 Services:
It is a complete coin laundry service that offers a wide range of services that revolves around
coin laundry and other complementary services. These are the services and amenities that will
be made available to our customers;

 Coin-operated dry cleaners

The demand for this service is increasing due to changing life styles, incomes, and the
increase in clothing expenditure. Customers use this service as there are few or no
alternatives. Therefore, the uniqueness of laundry business are as follows, Rapid
technological change resulting in fast change of trend from individualized laundry to
commercial laundry services. Fast, changing and modern lifestyle of the people of the
Pakistani cities especially the people of Edo state. Laundry business is an easy and
convenient business to start. It is not capital or management intensive. It is a very
lucrative business, as not everyone that puts on clothes has the time to-do the laundry.
Tight schedule of people (students and workers) and personal dislike for laundry for
some others makes the use of laundry/dry cleaning services inevitable.

Professionalism sought by cooperate institutions like schools hospitals and offices has
also made the services of laundry and dry cleaning business a very important one.

 Market characteristics:
Its been shown the best method of advertising is through word of mouth. No major newspapers
ad. However, we shall run weekly specials. In addition, we shell have an incentives programs in
referrals. Those customers refers someone else to the store will be awarded with two free
washes. And referee will receive introductory gift of free wash. In addition we will ensure that
the a clean environment and reliable automatic machines, and friendly prompt services.
Other laundry business provide only one or two services in many cities of Pakistan. But we
provide many different services in one location. We do wish to offer our clients as they want.
Those services include folding and potentially pick-up /delivery services, as well of online
reservation and membership pick up and delivery. Most importantly, it’s our convenience that
set us a part from competition.

laundry soap. These coin up business will upon commencement of operation, supply full
washing, drying, and optional folding services.
We provide services to those customers who students, teachers, workers, villagers (live in
hostels), and other those people who wants these facilities. That business is sole proprietorship.
The laundry business is provide professional, friendly, prompt, and most important convenient
services.

1. Wash-Dry-Press
This service entails the washing drying and ironing of Customer Clothes. The washing
machine is mostly used and most often dryers are used to dry the clothes
After which the clothes are pressed. This is the most sort service from survey. This’s because
customers are always after full packages and not everyone enjoys ironingcoupled with the fact
that power supply is not guaranteed in the area. This service in most cases may or may not
require the use of hangers depending on the needs of the customers.
2. Wash-Dry-Fold
This service involves the washing drying and folding of clothes without pressing it is quite an
easy operation because it does not involve pressing of clothes. This services is mostly sort by

people who enjoy ironing or prefer doing their on iron or trying to cut cost because the service
is cheaper.
3. Hand washing
Some clothes tend to get destroyed when washed using the washing machine. Customers often
prefer them washed by hand to preserve them. Also some clothes such as blankets may be too
heavy for the washing machine so may require hand wash. These leads to the demand of the
hand washing service. Its demand is not as high as the other two services.
4. Pressing
Most often people who do their laundry often get disappointed by power to do the pressing and
most times there is an urgent need to make use of the clothes which in most occasions is not
possible unless pressed. This leaves the individual with no option than to seek the pressing
service from Imperial Laundry Services Store.
5. Rug washing
From survey, this is one service required occasionally by residents of the area, students and
residents alike. Rugs get messy overtime and ordinary vacuuming or sweeping would not be
sufficient to clean the rug. This will be the point where the services of Imperial Laundry

The target market for my Laundry Services is basically the residents of the area covered. These

Initially, the target market is totally individuals till the business has been established to a level
where it can start targeting cooperate institutions like the boarding schools, hospital and offices
in the community. The major target of the above mentioned are the students and workers. This
is due to the fact that they form bulk of the population of the community.

low. So it is suitable in Pakistani low income cities.

We promote our business trough:
 Open our coin up laundry business with an open house party.
 Advertise our Laundry business on community newspapers, local TV stations and local
radio stations.
Promote our laundry business online via our official website and all available social
media platforms.

Place :
Dealing directly with customers, conveniently in the customers’ houses in Hillsboro. We
are choosing to not rent a shop in the town center, thereby reducing costs. Columbia
Cleaners will receive clothes from and return them to customers’ houses. Requests for
urgent situation pickups and deliveries will be accommodated, and a nominal fee
charged.

Distribution channels:
Free home pickup and delivery service, coming to customers’ houses between 6 pm – 9 pm
three times per week. We provide convenience and high quality dry cleaning, laundry, and
alteration services.

Competition:
There are several different competitors, all who serve the student and low-income market. The
facilities are all pretty similar, not generally clean, noisy, with low-end services. Some of the
competitors offer additional services beyond self serve laundry, others just offer self serve
machines.

Entrepreneurial team:
This business is managed by the owner who has extensive leadership and management skills as
well as innovative and creative characters. Coin up laundry business will have on site staff
person (maintaince and cashier) and dedicated not only to store and machine maintaince but
who also act as cashier to the retail business. As the part of the management Philosophy,

efficient and honesty.
Kelash khan is an ambitious, hard working, philosophical leader, and business man. He has
extensive business experience and knowledge in various fields including retail sales, customer
service and customer the internet industry. Kelash khan take care the machines. There are only
two investors to start the business. Hasan and Ali both are investors and run coin up laundry
business.

Financial structures:
The investors are invest Rs:100000. And other money are debt for other person Currently,
Hassan owns a small permanent shop in selling power tools every weekend. That store brings
in approximately Rs:4,5000/month on average in revenue. The profit averages out to
approximately Rs:2,5000/month. Considering the potentiality in the coin-op laundry business ,
he’d like to take on further challenges by starting another venture.

Projected financial statement


To achieve this objective, coin up laundry business is seeking Rs:1000000 in additional loan
financing. This loan will be paid by the cash flow from both the shop at the Flea Market and the
laundry business, and will be collateralized by the assets of the business and steady income it
brings along with an initial Rs:75,000 down payment, and backed by the character, experience,
and personal guarantees of the owner.
