Specific competencies:
CS 1. Linguistic competence: using formal linguistic resources in carrying out communicative acts, by showing
flexibility and self-control;
CS 2. Sociolinguistic competence: updating linguistic resources in various communicative situations,
capitalizing on the social dimension of language;
CS 3. Pragmatic competence: integrating linguistic resources in everyday and unpredictable contexts, by
demonstrating precision and discursive fluency;
CS 4. (Multi- / inter-) cultural competence: integrating culture-specific features studied in contexts of
intercultural communication by expressing empathy / tolerance and acceptance of cultural diversity.
Units of competency:
1.5. Using an appropriate semantic and lexical repertoire to formulate clear and coherent messages;
2.6. Using verbal and non-verbal language to support a point of view, according to the
communicative situation;
3.6. Explaining the main points of an idea /issue in everyday contexts;
3.10. Using language resources to carry out simple common tasks within the group and / or in
online activities;
3.11. Summarize the main information, in one’s own terms, from written texts referring to topics
from everyday life.
4.8. Participating in conversations to exchange impressions and opinions regarding literary / non-
literary texts, art texts, musical pieces, films, studied cultural phenomena.
