Good morning ladies and gentlemen, my name is __________ and I am from SMA Negeri 2 Kupang.

Today I would like to talk to you about globalization.

First, I would like to explain what globalization is. Globalization is the process of societies becoming
more integrated, instead of staying isolated. Globalization means that the world is becoming more
connected with economics, politics, and culture.

Globalization has been possible because of advances in technology, like the internet. Using the internet
and other technologies, many nations are becoming more connected in their activities, such as
communications, travel, and trade.

But, is globalization a good thing? Or is it a bad thing? We must examine the pros and cons of
globalization to see whether it is a good thing for Indonesia.

Well, globalization is good for businesses. Many businesses want to sell their products to more people.
Some businesses will only sell products to people in their own country, but if people living in other
countries want to buy the products, then the businesses will sell to other countries. If Indonesian
businesses sell to other countries, it is a good thing for Indonesia, because Indonesia is making more
money.

Globalization is also good for politics. If there is a lot of trade between different countries, it will cause
the countries to make agreements. Making agreements with other countries brings security and stability
to both countries and encourages peace. If there are good relationships between countries, then there
is less chance for war and disagreements. Globalization can bring peace.

Globalization is also good for culture and exchange. If there are good relationships between Indonesia
and other countries, then Indonesians can travel to other countries and people from other countries can
travel to Indonesia. When people travel and meet each other, it builds relationships between people.
With globalization, we can work together to solve bigger, more difficult problems. We can work to end
environmental destruction and further our knowledge and science. Working together with other
countries, we can accomplish incredible things, like building the International Space Station.

Of course, there is some bad that comes from globalization. When there are international businesses,
sometimes there are problems. Maybe some businesses will lose money because of globalization.
Maybe some bad culture from outside Indonesia will come to us. And maybe, with so much global
industry, we create problems for the environment.

Globalization has good effects and bad effects, but the truth is, ladies and gentlemen, globalization
cannot be stopped. It will continue, with good effects and bad effects. We must have courage in facing
globalization because it will come no matter what, and we must work to try and stop the bad effects and
help more good come from globalization. We must move forward bravely and work together, because
only together can we face globalization and the future of humanity. Thank you.
