I. Objectives
a. Put in action all the words from the paper they pick.
b. Distinguish the difference between the pictures.
c. To recognize the role of uniform words in synonyms and antonyms.
d. To understand the similarity and opposite meaning of each uniform word.
e. Practice and improve both vocabulary and language skills.
B. Activity
Charades
The students will form into 2 groups. In every group contain 5 members to
play a game. Divide the slips of paper between the two teams. Select a

C. Analysis
As shown in the pictures below, the students are capable to formulate ideas
to answer the given questions.
Question:
1. What will you notice about the pictures that is shown?
2. Who is smaller? The ant or the bear?
3. Is the bear and elephant similar in size? Why?
4. There are 2 little boys in the picture, do they have same emotion?
5. Who has the same emotion in the picture?
D. Abstraction
The words that have similar meaning are called synonyms.
The words that have opposite meaning are called antonyms.
And the words have both synonyms and antonyms. This is called Uniform
word.
Example:

E. Application
Group activity
Give them a group activity to boost their confidence by cooperating with
their classmates.
“Let’s have group activity, group yourself into 5 and choose a leader”
After forming a group, the teacher instructs what they need to do.
Use words in the box. Identify the similar and the opposite meaning of
each uniform word.

Write the antonyms of the following words. Choose your answer from the
