The New Quota

Question.1: The two factors which are influencing the team performance are as follows:

- Overload of work is the main reason behind in the inefficiency of their team.

- Compensation being paid to employees as compared to amount of work done by them is

very less.

Question.2:

The main goal of the team as well as the organization is that ,they have to complete the eight

assembly lines in a day ,which is not an easy task to perform ,its near impossible as the resources

of the organizations very limited to achieve these kinds of goals. The employees are not

compatible with the objectives of the organization because there are lack of resources and the

motivation factor, both monetary and non-monetary.

Question.3: Team concept to be applied – Cross functional Team

- Cross Functional Teams are formed to achieve a temporary goal for a very short period of

time.

- Cross functional Teams hire people from different departments in order to complete the

given task.

- Cross functional Team are usually formed when organizations are low on resources and

need to get their work done, as in this situation organization need to complete the project.

So to adopt the Cross Functional Team concept would be best for them as it will help

them to manage their cost as well.


I would first use the short term win approach to create involvement in their work. Then, I

would create a sense of urgency in them to accept the change management (new quota).

Concerns such as layoffs will be addressed quickly.
