 Introduction of hospital

Rajarshee Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Government Medical

College and CPR Hospital Kolhapur is a medical college and
affiliate hospital located in Kolhapur, India. It was founded in
the year 2000 and is affiliated to the Maharashtra University
of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik. The College is
recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI), New
Delhi for medical education in India.
In this government hospital there is HEMR department
It is a hospital where a biomedical engineer can find all the
equipment that are used in the medical field. The service that
they provide is nothing short of perfection this is to facilitate
the recovery of the patient. The hospital has appointed all
kinds of people that can help with the smooth administration
of the hospital. The staff include doctors, nurses, biomedical
engineers, housekeeping, carpenters, maintenance staff, other
engineers, security, accountants, human resources. The best
part is that there are shifts for all the above-mentioned staff so
they are available 24x7.

 Project Objectives

Specific objectives of student projects are:

1. To expose the students to industrial environment and work premises

where design, manufacturing or service is being provided so that they
are mentally and physically prepared to serve in the organization after
their degree.
2. To enable the students to observe and learn best practices adopted by
the field experts of practicing engineers and professionals.
3. To enhance the communication skills of the students by providing
opportunities to discuss in groups and to present their observation,
findings and report in formal reviews both in oral and written format.
4. To identify the industrial practices compared to what is being taught in
institution and implemented.
5. To know the latest trends in industry and thereby improve the technical
expertise of the students.
6. To learn how to quantify, measure and meet targets.

The following are expected as outcomes of the project

5. Conference/ journal publication
 Guidelines for Project Supervision

1. The project review meetings will be conducted periodically and recorded

in project diary according to a schedule.
2. The project sheet prepared by the student shall serve as a basis for
guidance and supervision of the project progress.
3. A draft of final report should be prepared and presented to the respective
guide.
4. The guide can explore all possible venues for financial assistance to
support a project.
5. The guide shall plan and get necessary permission and approval from
HOD for any facilities needed for completion of project
6. The project if assigned to a group, the tasks assigned and carried out by
individual must be recorded.
7. At the end of the project students and guides are expected to give
individual about the project.
