QUESTIONS

1. What is the difference between method and approach?

The difference between the method and the approach is that the first is the process to reach
an objective, while the approach is a perspective with which a certain issue or problem is
seen.

2. Have you had bad experiences in your English learning process?

Yes, I have had not very good experiences in my English learning process, but they have
been factors that one would think directly that do not affect the process but in reality if,
they make it slower, for example, the barrier that exists in a virtual education To develop
the skills of listening and speaking is wide, not to mention that communication is
sometimes little or slower depending on the time factor of people who interact in the
teaching - learning process. But in reality, I think they are not bad experiences, they are
obstacles that sometimes arise.

3. Do you consider that a teacher can use more than one English teaching
method? Why?

Yes, because teaching methods are not a standard in education and much less in the
education of a foreign language, since the factor that each student has their own needs and
have different learning rhythms so that the teacher can choose which method to apply to
improve the results.

4. What do you know about English teaching methodologies? what’s your

favorite one?

The teaching methodologies of English are many, the best known are those of translation
skills approach (listening, speaking, writing, reading), among many more. The one that I
like the most is the focus of skills since with this one you can carry out a process of
teaching - significant learning taking into account the tastes of the students, that is, if they
like a series, a movie, a song, a book, etc. all of the above become tools that support the
teaching method.

5. What do you think should be the role of the teacher in teaching in the
classroom?

The teacher's role is that of a companion or support, it is the one that presents students with
knowledge in various forms and activities supporting the autonomous process of student
learning. The teacher maintains an active role without taking autonomy from the students.

6. Do the materials used in the English classes play an important role in the
teaching process? Write some reasons.

Yes, since the materials allow classes to not become monotonous, allowing classes to be
more didactic and playful, developing students' interest in acquiring new knowledge, they
are tools that gradually lead them to create meaningful knowledge.

7. Do you think motivation is related to the English learning methodology applied

by the teacher in the classroom?

Yes, because motivation empowers students by leading them to develop their learning
processes activating, by generating interest in students learning English as a foreign
language.

8. What are your expectations about this course?

My expectations in this course are to identify different methods of teaching English,

acquire tools for the optimal development of the teaching-learning processes and develop
skills for teaching English as a foreign language.
