Installation Guide

Purpose
The document defines the details of downloading, installing and signing-in guidelines of Microsoft Teams learning application for
Desktop/Laptop or mobile devices.

 1. Sign-in to Microsoft Office 365

• Open browser (Internet Explorer / Google Chrome / Firefox) and paste following URL:
portal.office.com

• Specify the official email address provided to you and click Next. If you have not received your official email credentials yet, please
contact school system administrator.

• Enter one-time password shared with you by school administrator and click Sign in.

• Page will prompt to update your password. Specify one-time password in Current password field and new credential in
New/Confirm password field. Click Sign in to proceed

• Page will prompt asking for additional information. Click Next

• Following setup will allow you to reset your password yourself without asking school system administrator. Click Set it up now as shown to
add your mobile phone for password recovery.

• Select country Pakistan from the drop-down list. Specify your mobile no without leading “0” as shown below. Click text me. Code will be sent
to your mobile no.

• Enter the code sent to your mobile and click verify.

• Upon authenticating phone no. green tick will appear. Click Set it up now to add alternate email address to reset your password.

• Enter your personal email address and click email me button.

• Enter the verification code sent your personal email id. Click verify

• Upon completing authentication, click finish to continue.

• Following page will appear which enlist all the available apps for your use.

 2. Microsoft Teams for Desktop/Laptop

• Open browser (Internet Explorer / Google Chrome / Firefox) and paste following URL:
https://www.microsoft.com/en/microsoft-365/microsoft-teams/download-app#desktopAppDownloadregion

• Click Download Teams as shown below. Application will start to download automatically on your local system.

• Open browser (Internet Explorer / Google Chrome / Firefox) and paste following URL:
https://www.microsoft.com/en/microsoft-365/microsoft-teams/download-app#desktopAppDownloadregion

• Click Download Teams as shown below. Application will start to download automatically on your local system.

• Upon completing download file, click to open Installation panel

• If the installation panel pops to install any pre-requisites, continue to click Next till the time following application page appears.
Click Continue to proceed.

• Specify the user id shared with you by School administrator. It is mandatory to use email id with domain name as
example@thecultivatorsschool.com. In case you have not received personalized official login credentials, please contact School
administrator. Email ID shown in screenshot is for example purpose only

• Specify password shared with you along with Email Id as shown below

• The passwords shared are one-time only and the screen may appear to enter New passwords. Please do so and keep a note on it.
For the next logins, only updated password can be used to login Microsoft Teams

 3. Microsoft Teams for Mobile devices

• Open Play Store (for Android) or App Store (for Apple) and search for Microsoft Teams

• Click Install as shown below

• Once the application is installed, click Open

• Click Sign in
