Downloading MS Teams on an Android device

Step 1: On Play store,


Search and install
Microsoft Teams

After successfully installing the


app, you will see this icon on your
app tray

Open the app. This is where you

you will be prompted to choose

password.

A strong password is a mix of upper- and


lowercase letters, numbers, and
symbols.

Click Next.

Put your desired password here

Step 5: Now, check your email account.

Microsoft sent you an email with a 4-digit


code to verify the email address you use
in signing up.

Enter the code, then click Next.

Step 6: Input details such as

• First and last name


• Company name (type YouthWorks
PH)
• Country

Then click Set up Teams

Congratulations! You now have a


Teams account.

Step 5: After setting up your account, you


will be redirected to this page à

Remember that we have downloaded the


app in the beginning. So, click Open it

• Password

Click Sign in

Then select YouthWorks PH


as your organization.

Joining a Classroom
Step 1: Check your Gmail account
for Mentor’s classroom invite.

Click Open Microsoft Teams

You will see the page about giving


permission to Philippine Business
for Education to access and manage
your account. This is needed to get
your consent and add you to the
classroom.

Click Accept

Step 2: You will be prompted to
either open Chrome or Teams.

Choose Teams

Step 3: In Teams, you will be asked


to select an organization.

Look for Philippine Business for


Education, then click.

Announcements
You will receive notifications if there are
new classroom announcements.

You can also access them on the


app, on the Activity Tab.

You can comment on these


announcements like your usual
social media app.

You can attach a photo, GIF, file, and


voice recording; mention a member,
draw a doodle; and even send
praises.

To view an attachment,

Just click on the document.

It will open on Teams. No need for


another app.

You can also download or share the


document by clicking the 3 dots icon
on the right.
Joining a synchronous session

When Mentor schedules


your synchronous
session, you will receive
an email in your Gmail
account.

Click either YES, MAYBE,


or NO to let Mentor know

Joining the synchronous session
On the day of the synchronous session, you can easily join by

when in the middle of a synchronous

Mentor can also start a Whiteboard


where trainees can brain storm and
write notes simultaneously.

You can scribble or post a sticky


note in Whiteboard

You can also save it by clicking the


Gear icon

Then Export image (PNG)


Synchronous session - Chat
To post a message or chat with the
group while in session, just click the
message bubble on the right corner
of the screen

It has the same feature of the


comment section. You can attach a
photo, GIF, file, and voice recording;
mention a member; draw a doodle;
and even send praises (sample
photo).

Chats will be posted in the chat box.


And is accessible even after the
session. Just go back to Post tab and
look for the Mentor’s post about the
sync session.
Synchronous session

You will see a red dot on the top of


your screen when Mentor starts
recording the session.

And when you wish to leave the


session, just click the red phone
icon on the bottom of your screen
Submitting Home tasks and progress report

Alternatively, they can also


be seen in the Posts tab.

Notifications about
home tasks and
progress reports are Click View Assignment to see
also accessible on the specific instructions,
Activity tab. reference materials, and the
grading system.

After carefully reading the


instructions, submitting your
home task is easy.

Step 1: Click Add Work

Step 2: Click
Upload from this device
(This will access your phone’s
storage to find and attach
your document.)

Step 3: Choose the correct


file.

successfully uploaded.

A successfully uploaded file


should appear under the My
Work portion.
You can delete your original
Double check if the uploaded document by clicking on the
file is the correct document. 3 dots.

Then same with the previous


Step 5: If everything is good, process, Click Add work and
click Turn In choose the correct file

Check if your submission is successful

To check if your submission is


successful,

Go to More

Then click Assignments

Your submitted home task must


appear under the Completed
portion.

Unsuccessful submission will


appear under the Assigned portion.
Receiving feedback and grades
Like before, you can To check the mentor’s
also see updates in feedback and grade,
the Activity tab.
