Defend why sex and violence should stay (or should not stay) in Philippine media.

Today, life is very different and complicated to understand on how the world
works. I am concern of the risk involved with teenage pregnancies and parenting-
young girls literally have one foot in the grave when they become pregnant. If the
baby and the mother survive the difficult child bearing. There are many other
obstacle to overcome. Children of very young parents face many more risk for health
problems and early death.
The expansion of mass media changes our perception about sexuality making
us into “hyper sexualized” world, bombarding us constantly with images drawn from
sex and sexuality. Philippine media often reinforces very negative social norms,
gender norms and values when sexuality issues are covered, deviant behavior like
sex and violence, rape, and sex addiction these titillate the viewer’s arousal
imagination. Pre-marital sex and teenage pregnancy were implied and used to spice
up the story, used to increase shows ratings. The fact that these topics are not
commonly discusses by family mentors or even between friend. I am against of this
kind of exploitation, ratings should never be an excuse for irresponsible reporting.
Many people tend to think the word sexuality is only sex and sexual intercourse.
It has many more aspects like body image, confidence, family perception and
personal intimacy, and even the decision to abstain from sex are part of sexuality as
well. What is important of every person expression of sexuality is the responsible
exercise of human rights. One requires individuals to respect the rights of others
including sexual right.

time slot of the TV series and give one reason why the series is or is not appropriate
for that time slot.

this show cause it shows relevance
to them. Children are usually in
school for the moment when the
series is air.
Impostora (2017)-GMA Afternoon Prime Series Appropriate to its time slot because
(2:00-3:00PM) it gives the legal wife to fight back
for what is right and to know when
to stop to the circumstances.
Parents are mostly the viewers of
this show cause it shows relevance
to them. Children are usually in
school for the moment when the
series is air. But it has very extreme
violent scenes.

Tubig at Langis (2016) - Afternoon Block Series Inappropriate to its time slot
Abs-Cbn (4:15PM) because usually, the elementary
students are in their respective
homes already tuned into the
television cause it shows violence.

The Legal Wife (2014) - Prime time Bida I think the ages of 7 to 12 are
Abs-Cbn Evening Block Series already asleep at this moment.
(9:00-10:00) Inappropriate for the highschoolers
or teenagers because the words
being used by the actors are
insensitive.

Two Wives (2014) - Abs- Prime time Bida Inappropriate to the time slot
Cbn Evening Block Series because elementary students are
(4:15PM) already home. These give them the
idea that having an affair with
someone is a good thing because
the series doesn't show a frequent
cruel scene as I remembered.

Halik (2018) - Abs-Cbn Prime time Bida Appropriate to the time slot because
Evening Block Series/ it's in the middle of the night,
 Late night (10:00-11:00 teenagers are fallen asleep. The
PM parents are the only one who is
awake, this will be a good thing for
both of them to watch the series to
reflect and understand the situation
of the show and talk about it.

Wild Flower (2017)- Abs- Afternoon Block Series Inappropriate in a way that it shows
Cbn (5:00-6:00 PM) violence and revenge. On the other
side, it shows feminism and power
for every woman that makes it
appropriate to the viewers.

Ang Probinsyano(2015) - Prime time Bida Pretty ironic labeled as a kid show
Abs-Cbn Evening Block Series series telling us morality and right
(8:00-9:00 PM) conduct. It seems like it shows more
violent drugs and killing.
Inappropriate for me to its time slot.

Angelito: Ang Batang Kapamilya Gold Appropriate to its timeslot because

Ama (2012) - Abs-Cbn Afternoon Block teenage pregnancy in our country is
Series(2:00-3:00PM) relatively high, this gives awareness
to the young ones what it looks like
to be a parent at a young age.

Dahil sa Pag-Ibig (2019) Afternoon Prime Usually, a long-distance relationship

- GMA Series(4:00-5:00PM) doesn't work very well because
many malicious things might happen
with you are not around with your
partner, crime, and dignity. Show an
impact to the viewers to understand
the situation and empathy to what
the actors convey.
