BACKGROUND/ RATIONALE
Waste materials like cans, old tires, and plastic bottles when
not properly disposed will cause harm to our human health and to
the environment. It will become the breeding places of mosquitos,
flies, rats and other organisms that carry diseases.
In order to prevent these things to happen, garbage must be
disposed properly. “SA BASURA… MAY KAGWAPA!” is one way of
helping our community to lessen the wastes of old tires, cans and
plastic bottles. Instead of dumping it, we can make used of it in
beautifying our soroundings.

OBJECTIVES
1. To maintain the cleanliness of the soroundings by recycling
the old tires, cans and plastic bottles into pots and designs
for plants.
2. To develop desirable work habit of every pupil in planting
and love for gardening.
3. To appreciate the values of beautifying and designing
through the use of waste materials.
With those things from the garbage, the Grade VI Class area
was beautified. It was made easier and successful through the efforts
of the Homeroom PTA and Class Officers, parents and pupils with the
Class Adviser. With that, the AMAZING Grade VI Park won the First
Place in the School Beautification last December 2017.
