RFP for Train the Trainer program on Online

Facilitation
About NSFI
NSFI is a not-for-profit foundation focused on the objective of skill-building and the development of
vocational opportunities for India’s large but relatively unskilled workforce. NSFI has been formed
with the vision to enable sustainable livelihoods for people through skill development. NSFI is
realizing its mission through enabling large scale training of unskilled / semi-skilled workers, rural
youth, farmers, and women entrepreneurs across the nation with the objective of providing them
access to growth sectors informal labour markets. NSFI is developing a partnership with the Private
sector, Governments, Universities, Institutions, multilateral agencies for skill development.

The Context
NSFI in partnership with Welthungerhilfe is promoting skill development programmes in Green
Trades through its model of ‘Green Colleges’. Green colleges are community-based colleges that are
envisioned to provide self-employment focused livelihood generating skill programmes to the
surrounding communities. NSFI as Incubator for rural trades provides requisite support services to
the training providing institutions so that they can concentrate more on ensuring the quality of
training whereas the rest of the functions are done at the Incubator. The Incubator at NSFI will
provide a range of services including i) Training of Trainers, ii) Course Curriculum (CC) and content
development, iii) Institutional Development Services & iv) Business Incubation to a range of training
providers.

Purpose of the assignment


The pandemic COVID -19 has created a profound impact on skill development. Physical proximity has
redefined in the COVID -19, and skill development institutes are affected by the youths who were
waiting to gain skills this year for their dream occupations.

The training and capacity building industry has adapted quickly to current changes. IT industry has
come up with real solutions through which imparting training remotely has become smooth. But
still, there is too much work required to improve the skills and capacities of facilitators and trainers
to equip themselves with the changing environment and deliver their best through the various
online mechanism.

It observed that online class are the most predominant source of interaction. We also agree that
online class facilitation is different from physical classroom facilitation. So, we are planing to
organize the practical oriented workshop for our facilitator on online facilitation.

The time frame envisioned for the workshop is 2 days.

The objective of the workshop


o To build basic facilitation concepts for the facilitators
o To equip facilitators with available tools and skills to facilitate online.
o To enhance and sharpen online facilitation skills
The expected outcomes of the workshop
o Know about the learning modalities and adult learning principles
o Learn about workshop planning and training management.
o Discuss different easy to use online tools and activities.
o Practice online facilitation using different tools.

Terms of Payment
• Each of the deliverable / responsibility area to be formally signed off by the concerned
staff of NSFI
• Payment schedule for the assignment to be based on mutually agreed terms upon
shortlisting of the consultant for the assignment
• The final payment to be made upon full and final report submitted by the consultant
within 10 days from the date of final deliverable completion

Termination Services
a) Delay of any segment of work due to genuine / convincing and documented reasons is
acceptable to NSFI, including COVID related issues. In the event of his / her leaving
assignment at any time in the middle of each segment of work without totally attending
it/bringing it to the desired level as per schedule, of the agreed dates he / she will repay to
NSFI the whole sum paid to him/ her for the assignments to have attended till that date,
within 7 working days.
b) In case of delay of performance by the Consultant due to his / her personal/medical reasons,
the Consultant must submit to NSFI the relevant proof as Certificates to be issued by the
concerned authorities. NSFI has every right to verify such certificates/take follow up actions
as deemed fit by NSFI.
c) NSFI holds every right to terminate any association with the consultant on his / her poor
performance, disciplinary ground, fraud or violation of deadlines and ask for the return of
any payments made till that date, to ensure timely completion of the work.

Terms of confidentiality and Intellectual Property Rights


a) Copyrights of the material shared during the assignment are fully held by NSFI or its
associate organizations/institutions/individuals. All intellectual property rights on material
produced/developed/customized by the consultant during this assignment shall be the
property of NSFI / whomsoever NSFI transfers the rights to through written communication.
The Consultant shall assign all present and future Intellectual Property Rights, including
without limitation, copyright, in and to all deliverables whether made or conceived in whole
or in part by it; alone or in conjunction with others; and/or in pursuance of specific
instructions or not, to NSFI (or its nominee) and acknowledge that, by virtue of this clause,
all such rights are vested (or will vest) in NSFI (or its nominee).
b) The Consultant agrees to unconditionally and irrevocably waive all of his / her moral right
and rights in the nature of moral rights in and to all the material and consent to any act or
omission that will otherwise infringe on its moral rights except for when an award is granted
to NSFI where the Consultant was involved or the Material in part or as a whole, provided by
the Consultant was used.
c) Where the Consultant is unable by law to waive its moral rights or rights in the nature of
moral rights in and to any part of the Works, then the Consultant grants to NSFI a non-
exclusive, perpetual, fully-paid, royalty-free (and free of all other fees, expenses or costs),
irrevocable, sub-licensable and transferable license for such Material and the benefit
thereof.
d) These clauses shall survive and continue after completion of the services and the
termination or expiry of this ToR

Evaluation and intimation to the shortlisted Consultant: 1 July 2021

Potential starting date of the assignment: 3 July 2021.
