Our first-aid-trained responders do! When someone is unresponsive, there can be dozens of
causes. Finding out the cause is important when long-term treatment is necessary, but what
is most important at that very moment is remembering the ABC’s.

If you haven’t been trained or are not sure what to do, call for help. These individuals
have been first aid trained:

They may ask you to call 9-1-1. While that is happening, they will be checking the
following, in this order:

Airway > Breathing > Circulation

They are also trained to provide basic first aid until medical professionals arrive and to treat
minor scrapes, burns, cuts, splinters, insect stings, sprains and strains.

If you need help and cannot contact a trained first aid responder, never hesitate call 9-1-1.
