Status of Progress in regard to refurbishment of CWRC Secretariat

Building, Bengaluru:
Current status of physical progress is as per following as on July 26 2021.
Execution of work has been planned & divided into phases of Civil, Interior &
furnish before commencement of project which further led into several detailed
division.
Civil works: As per the plan Civil work which includes construction of internal
walls, plastering, plumbing line, fire safety pipeline, toilet fixtures, waterproofing,
electrical wiring has been completed & consistent review of work progress as
regards to specification, quality & time is being monitored by the assigned PMC
agency & the departmental engineers. Civil work is 100% completed.
Interiors: Work related to interior like plywood partitions, ceiling, paint & polish,
flooring, light, electrical fixtures, HVAC, wall paneling, etc., is 95% completed &
few of the components are 70% completed, hence on an average, 80% of the
interior work has been completed.
Requirements of CWRC office automation:
There is no provision for office automation to be installed in
CWRC secretariat building at Bengaluru in the approved estimate
of CWRC office refurbishment. Based on the suggestions of the
Monitoring Committee, it is proposed to provide office
automation infrastructure to CWRC secretariat Building and a
separate estimate may have to be prepared to that effect along
with key plan and submitted for approval to the Committee.

In regard to the office automation the consultant proposed the

following requirements:
1. Computers 45 numbers .
2. Printers & Copier 4 Numbers (2 heavy duty & 2 normal function)
3. CCTV 12 cameras.
4. Networking - 45 computers + 8 wifi+ 4TV+ 4BR + 4MR.
5. Earthing for all automation.
6. Server desktop networked all computers

The Committee reviewed regarding the veracity of 45 no. of computers and opined that
the no.of computers shall be in consonance with the actual no.of officers that are
deployed for working in CWRC secretariat building. And accordingly the other
accessories too need to be pruned.

The consultant emphasized the need for a comprehensive networking, CCTV

arrangement, earthing regardless of the size of the other components. Further, the
consultant sought the clarification as to whether to provide projector screen or LED
screen for the Board room and Meeting room.

The Committee after reviewing the above concurred with the requirement of
networking, CCTV and earthing as suggested by the consultant. Also it is opined to go
with LED screen for the Board room and Meeting room. Further, it was informed that
the proposal need to be re-worked out in consultation with the Member Secretary,
CWRC and accordingly a revised presentation may be made by the consultant in the
next meeting.
