19. A firm dealing in the sales of TV sets and refrigerators delivers the goods either by vans or
trucks. Each van can carry 3 TV sets and 6 refrigerators: each truck can carry 4 TV sets
and 3 refrigerators. The firm has to deliver an order of 20 TV sets and 24 refrigerators to
a shop. Suppose the cost of using a truck is one and a half time the cost of using a van.

(a) Explain how would the firm deliver the goods at minimum cost and show your
working clearly by using the graph provided below. (7 marks)

(b) Unfortunately, the traffic service is limited, the firm can only order the total number
of 5 vehicles (either vans or trucks) per day.
