Online Assessment Tool

The webinar that I attended this morning April 24, 2021made me feel a mixed
emotions. As what the speaker shared, it is very timely today for us, educators, to be
always updated. We need to be upgraded because if not, the teachers might be the ones to
be left behind and not the students.

However, that is not the case here in the mountainous area in Sibonga. We,
teachers, are always doing our best to level up ourselves, our performances. But, sad to
admit that no matter how we are learning from the different types of webinars, it is very
difficult for us to apply everything that we’ve learned due to the fact that not all of our
students can also adjust with all the abrupt changes in our new normal of the educational
system.

Learning the different online assessment tools are indeed very necessary today.
How I wish to be able to use or apply these all in my day to day instructions, but our
situations here wont allow. All of those Socrative, Google Forms, Mentimeter, Poll
Everywhere and Kahoot are supposedly a learning full of active participation, but our real
scenario here can’t suffice it.

Nevertheless, I am still optimistic that someday somehow all the learners may be
able to try these tools even once in their lifetime. It is truly a challenge for me to assess
them reliably. I must cope up with all the hindrances in attesting the TRUE knowledge,
comprehension and ability of my students in this time of crisis…
