1. What did you find interesting in today’s lesson/s?

- What I find interesting in today’s lesson was how versatile education is, it
is continuing to evolve to better suit each situation. The many ways it can
manifest despite that learners are unable to be physically present in the
school. Certainly the saying “change is the only constant in this world” was
proven. Ironically before, teachers scold pupils who use gadgets;
cellphones, laptop, tablets & etc. in school but as of today the school is
inside these gadgets. It is humbling to see that education always finds its
way through each problem that occurs the way & teachers are gradually
becoming equipped with the necessary skills to cater the new needs for
learning to occur successfully in this time of pandemic.

2. What was/were particularly confusing or difficult?

- What I find the most confusing in this new normal era is how do we rank
our pupils specially that each individual has different learning tools, some
are using online classes and some are using printed modules. As part of
education, ranking pupils according to their achievement is part of external
reward system. Thus, it is confusing to compare each individual when they
are using different methods to learn due to their resources.

3. What is/are the role(s) of the 21st century teachers in this era of pandemic?
- The role(s) of the 21st century teachers in this era of pandemic is almost
identical to his roles during the past times with additional skill sets to
comply to his roles with today’s distance learning. The teacher roles are to
facilitate the learning process, to guide each student to achieve the set
learning objectives. To achieve this in this time of the new normal, teacher
must familiarize himself to different distance teaching techniques to keep
the interest of the learners to continue the schooling at home teachers
must create new ways in teaching by the aid of the internet and monitor
the learning of the child & answer their needs accordingly even conducting
home visitations from time to time.

4. How are you going to ensure that learning continues in this time of pandemic?
- To ensure that learning can be successfully carried out in this time of
pandemic, the preparation should start in the part of the teacher. As the
facilitator of learning each teacher must be reoriented to the new
strategies and skill sets that a teacher should have to carry out her duty in
this new normal. Let’s all face the fact that we are the front liners in
ensuring that the new generation gets the equal results incomparable to
result that a normal class will have and the field changed drastically,
therefore for learning to continue the teacher should have mastery of the
 different ways in conducting a teaching even without physical contact with
his/her students. In addition, it is important for her to build a routine for
his/her pupils to practice learning despite the physical presence of the
teacher.

websites and apps for distance learning. Who is the blogger? Kindly describe
her.
- These are the top seven (7) best website & apps for distance learning;
Google classroom, Screencastify, Jamboard, Google Meet, Zoom and
Flipgrid. The blogger is Michelle Fray, a 4 th grade teacher of Mareland, she
is teacher willing to share her knowledge to make teaching easier in this
time of pandemic.

6. Based on the video describe Screencastify & Flipgrid.

- Screencastify is an application that allows you to record your screen while
being cast in a separate screen for a personal touch and face to face feel
interaction. Flipgrid is a great site where teacher can create an interactive
learning, where students can post short video response to pictures,
question or essay from the teacher.

7. Among the seven (7) application for distance learning, choose three (3) that
you like best and why.
- The first is Google Meet & Zoom, these are pretty much alike and have the
same function with the main purpose it to conduct a class & interact which
each pupil in real time, the reason why I like these two (2) because of their
accessibility, it is free and easy to be familiarize with. Lastly is Flipgrid, this
makes the class interactive & so much fun both for the part of the teacher
and the learners. The attention of the pupils are undivided and you can
ensure that each learner are participating.
