The author convinced that the success of this portfolio did not come from single efforts but

the efforts of
different people whose contributions are very instrumental. The sudden shift of learning mode from
traditional to online set up has been challenging but the people who have been part of this completion
proved that teaching and learning know no boundaries. Without them, this portfolio would not come to
reality.

First and foremost, the author thanks the Almighty God for all the guidance every-time the author had
online observation. I owe them the safety and wisdom.

To his Resource Teacher for her generosity and perseverance. Without her, our online observation
wouldn’t be possible.

To Ma’am Catacutan for her words of wisdom for reminding us always to be committed to our career
with passion and hardwork. Thank you so much.

Special thanks to the students under Ma’am ____ in SSCT Del Carmen Campus, I cannot mention each of
you by name but I hold you all so dearly. Thanks for the active participation under short term.

To the SSCT-Del Carmen Campus family, I thank them for this lifetime experience. The opportunity to
conduct an online observation is such an honor.

Finally, he wants to extend his gratitude to his parents for their moral and financial support, especially
throughout these tough times.

REFLECTION
Observing an actual teaching and learning process as well as the school environment in my field study
subject at the Surigao State College of Technology Del Carmen Campus for nearly a month turned into
something worthwhile in terms of pursuing our chosen career path of becoming a teacher in the future.
Because it is an online approach wherein the lessons mainly occurs electronically or using Google
meet/Zoom, I saw that the classroom organization, processes, and individual characteristics of the
students were distinct from the common classroom setting that we encounter in face to face. As a
result, I gained a lot of experience and knowledge regarding student conduct. The classroom
management, which included daily processes and routines, was completed on time.

As an observer, I keep track of everything that occurs during the teaching and learning process in order
to have a better understanding of the lesson or topic in discussion. Because the class was planned in this
way, students were more invested in achieving the desired learning outcomes or objectives.
Furthermore, all of the materials/resources, methods, and processes were meticulously planned and
carried out. When something happens or a problem arises, the teacher can simply handle and resolve
the situation in her own way, treating all pupils with respect and treating them equally.

After several days of observation, I have a greater understanding of the world into which I am seeking to
fit as a future educator in order to shape and mold the student into a responsible and respected
member of society.

Furthermore, this field study, which was considered to be an enriching experience in developing and
utilizing appropriate instructional strategies to facilitate learning, was one of the wonderful experiences
that I should remember for future application, and the knowledge that I gained during this study will
serve as a stepping stone to more complex challenges that I will face in the future as part of my practice
teaching.
