PROCEDURE MEETING THE

LEARNERS’ NEEDS
A. Introduction/ Review
(Review about the properties of materials discussed in 4th grade)
B. Motivation
Bamboozle (https://www.baamboozle.com/game/690307)
1. The learners will be divided into 4 groups
2. Using bamboozle, each group will choose a number and each number has a
question about the properties of materials, the group will answer one at a time.
3. The group with the higher score wins the game and will be given a price.
C. Instruction/ Delivery
 The teacher will show a video using Ed puzzle about the properties of
materials and in between the video are questions that the learners will
answer.
 The teacher will discuss the different properties of matter – physical and
chemical properties and will show examples.
 The learners will be asked to give examples as well for each properties
discussed.
D. Practice/ Drill
 The teacher will show the learners real materials and they will identify
the properties of matter.
 The learners will bring a material and they will discuss to the class the
properties of materials present in the object that they brought.
E. Enrichment/ Values Integration
In a Science Journal notebook, let the learners answer the following.
1. Why is knowing the properties and effects of matter important?
2. How your knowledge of different properties of matter can help you
accomplish tasks?
3. How can you create a clean, safe, and orderly environment?
* Unity is the key to success.
F. Evaluation
* The teacher will give the learners an assessment.
Check and discuss the answer together with the learners.
