• Virtual learning will be a temporary option available for students
in kindergarten through sixth grade during the Fall 2021
semester (Aug. 17–Dec. 17, 2021) .
• Families must complete the virtual application by Thursday, Aug.
5, at 11:59 p.m.
• A minimum commitment for the fall semester from families will
be required. Students will be able to choose to return to in-
person learning at the end of the second nine-week period (Dec.
17, 2021).

Bastrop ISD
• For the 2021-22 school year, Bastrop ISD will offer only in-
person instruction to all students.
• Students who are in quarantine as a result of a positive COVID
test or an exposure will be able to make up work they miss
similar to any other excused absence.
• Synchronous or asynchronous virtual instruction via Google
Classroom or other online platform will not be routinely utilized.
• For the 2021-22 school year, Bastrop ISD will offer only in-
person instruction to all students.
• Beginning June 1, there will not be a face-covering requirement
in Burnet CISD, and the District will be 100% in-person for the
2021-2022 school year.
• Dripping Springs ISD has not indicated that they will offer a
virtual learning option in 2021-2022.
• On 7/30 the Superintendent informed parents they expected to
update school health protocols on 8/6.
• “Providing the best possible learning environment during a
pandemic continues to be our priority ... We know that
conditions are continually changing and that our families have a
variety of opinions on COVID-related issues.”

Eanes ISD
• District has not indicated that they will offer a virtual learning
option for the 2021-2022 school year.
• 7/27 Superintendent update sites failed legislation that would
not fund virtual learning as one factor.
• Masks will be optional for staff, students and visitors.
• San Marcos CISD does not indicate on their website if they will
offer a virtual learning option for the 2021-2022 school year.
• SMCISD’s goal is to help eligible students and families receive
the COVID-19 vaccination. For individuals who are at least 12
years old, more information on how to receive the vaccination
can be found here.
