This letter is in reference to Ms. Kerry McKeown and her application for a full time teaching
position within your district.

I first met Kerry in March of 2021 when she was placed in my classroom as a student- teacher
at Rensselaer Park Elementary School in Lansingburgh Central School District. From the first
day I met her, I have found her to be friendly, easy going, and quick to develop a positive rapport
with the students.

It has been a pleasure being Kerry’s cooperating teacher. Kerry has exceeded all of my
expectations as a student-teacher. Kerry was always prompt, prepared, and willing to listen to
ideas and opinions of others. I found Kerry to be equally comfortable working with individuals,
small groups, and teaching whole class lessons. She provided clear academic and behavioral
expectations for the students and was always fair and consistent. She has a true passion for
this profession that is not always seen in every educator.

As mentioned, Kerry quickly establishes positive relationships with students she works with.
She has a real understanding of the students not only as learners but also as individuals. She
is friendly with all staff members. I have had the opportunity to work with many teachers during
my years in Lansingburgh; Kerry was, by far, the most enjoyable to work with on a daily basis! I
know Kerry to be an excellent teacher. I know that same ensthusatism and hard work she
brought to her student teaching experience, will be the same she brings to this teaching
position. She would be a great addition to any district.
