I have been fortunate enough to have taught and observed Kerry McKeown over the past year. It
is with great pleasure that I highly recommend Kerryfor the position in your school.

As her adjunct professor, I can vouch for her sincerityto her work and the exceptional
contribution that she has made to our school district. Kerry has worked extremely hard creating
engaging and outstanding lessons for her students, and her lesson planning abilities are definitely a cut
above her peers. Her strong work ethic is one of themany reasons Kerry was nominated by her
professors and subsequently won the Scire Scholar Award for Childhood Ed at Russell Sage College.
Kerry has taken great initiative to not only learn how to transform a classroom into a digital learning
environment per the restraints of Covid-19, but she quickly became an irreplaceable asset to our district,
providing digital lessons for students and assisting with the technology needs of her cooperating
teachers. Kerry has consistently demonstrated herpassion for education and the drive to always
perform above expectations. Kerry has fostered positiverelationships with everyone who has the
pleasure of working with her. She can be described as compassionate, always willing to learn
something new and share it with her students and cooperating teachers. Her lessons are creative,
engaging, and bring the concepts taught to life. She is able to engage and encourage the most
reluctant learner, and provides a welcoming environment that takes into account individual student
needs. Kerry’s natural ability to lead has been extremelyapparent throughout her student teaching
experience. Kerry not only carries a 3.9 GPA but hastaken on extra classes in order to graduate a year
early. This shows how deeply Kerry is ready to becomea teacher, as well as how hard she is willing to
work.

Kerry has always proved herself a kind and helpful person who goes the extra mile for her peers
and students. It has been an absolute pleasure gettingto teach Kerry through Russell Sage College as
well as observing her at both Turnpike ElementarySchool and Rensselaer Park Elementary.These
experiences have given me the opportunity to know Kerry on a personal and professional level. Without
hesitation, I strongly recommend Kerry for the teachingposition in your school, as your district would be
lucky to have such an outstanding teacher.
