a. Describe how does the identified plate tectonic occurrence affect the lives of the residents.
- The identified plate tectonic occurrence is Convergent. It heavily affects the lives of the residents as this means that they would need to adapt to
mountainous environments as one of the effects Convergent is Mountain formations. It is also a big part of their lives in that earthquakes will occur and that
they must adapt practices and perform drills in case earthquakes do occur. It is also needed for them to properly observe plate movements as it might predict
future earthquakes.
b. As an Atenean in SHS imbedded with “Competence”, how will this knowledge contribute to the scientific revolution and to the Philippines considering
that our country belongs to the Pacific Rim of Fire?
- As someone who could be one of the future researcher that can create something to combat earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and all other natural
disasters, I would gladly offer my services to the people who needed it especially to the people who are dangerously near to this landforms. Being competent
means that I can do everything that is needed and with the given knowledge and with the guidance of the older generation, I can confidently say I can change
the world one step at a time. And with it, securing the future generation from natural disaster if such thing will occur in the future.
