A. BACKGROUND JOB OF TRAINING
Implementation of Field Work Practices (PKL) is a training and learning
carried out in the business world or the industrial world that is relevant to the
expertise competencies possessed by each department. In an effort to improve the
quality of the Vocational High School (SMK) and also increase the provision for
the future in order to enter the workforce that is increasingly numerous and tight
in competition as it is today.
So with the PKL activities students and students can hone and also
implement the material they get in school directly to the business world or the
industrial world that is relevant to their respective abilities.
In an effort to realize its vision and mission, SMK Negeri 1 Sampit.
Carrying out various activities in order to make students who are ready to enter
the world of work and the world of industry (DU / DI), of course it can not be
achieved easily, not only by learning various theories that are at school, but a
student must learn about how the environment in the world of work and of course
how the work that will be faced later after graduating from school.

B. THE PURPOSE OF IMPLEMENTING JOB TRAINING


The purpose of the authors do the Job Training include:
a. In order to know the real world of work.
b. Having experience on how to work in a company.
c. Develop personality, train self-discipline in doing a job and neat in carrying
out every job.
d. Looking for knowledge and knowledge that are not / have not been taught
in school.
C. BENEFIT OF JOB TRAINING
1) Obtain broad insights about the ins and outs of the world of work.
2) Increase self-confidence, discipline and responsibility.
3) Knowing the importance of discipline and responsibility in carrying out
tasks.
4) Can be obtained, developed and developed lessons learned at school.
5) Can compare abilities obtained at school with those needed in the world of
work.

D. TELL SHORT HISTORY OF PT. AGRO INDOMAS


The company was founded in 1989 with the name of Permai
Bohindamas engaged in logging efforts. Then the company was sold to
foreign company Carson Cumberbath & Co. Ltdin year 1995. The name
changed to PT. Agro Indomas and the changing business movement is
arguably the management of oil palm. The production of palm oil is Crude
Palm Oil (CPO) as the main product and kernel (palm kernel) as a byproduct.
PT. Agro Indomas is under the auspices of GoodHope Company which
is other than PT. Agro Indomas There are also PT. Rim Capital, PT. AWL
KMS, PT. Agro Bukit, etc. which are located under the GoodHope Company.
In April 1998 the company received a land certificate (HGU) for the
development of oil palm for 31 years with a total area of 12,104 Ha, including
infrastructure and facilities for the process, and 77 Ha for Management
Complects. Then in 1999, the company expanded its business and obtained a
land certificate of 3,760 Ha in form HGU and HGB for the establishment of a
30 ha factory.
Clearing of land and land preparation for oil palm plantations began in
November 1995 and in October 1996 began oil palm planting. At the end of
1997 land planted area of 2,084 Ha, then in 3 Tashun next amount of land
planted area of 3,094 Ha, 4,860 Ha, 2,519 Ha. Palm oil seedlings are 70%
obtained from Damil Oil Palm Research Station, Papua New Geuinea. Then
as balance added seeds from London-Sumatra and Socfindo.
In the first harvest the company issued a policy to sell crops to other
companies, because the price of CPO dropped. However, because the cost of
transport of fruit delivery is greater than the yield of fruit sales, the result is
due to rising production capacity. The MCC of the Purun River began
operations in March 2007.

E. TYPES OF WORK PERFORMED BY STUDENT


1. Preparing a summary of audit report

2. Monitoring all documents in the department

3. Carry out routine weekly/ monthly verification

4. Conduct routine observations of routine activities that occur in the estate,


the distribution of salaries, process head count and other activities in the
field or in the estate

5. Lending and returning audit documents

6. Conduct communication and confirmation required by the audit

7. Preparation audit report


F. SOME PROBLEM FACED IN THE JOB TRAINING AT THE PT AGRO
INDOMAS

During my job training at the PT. Agro Indomas I did not find any fatal
problems but there were some that were not yet fulfilled.

G. SUGGESTIONS
1. Suggestions for schools
a) In the provision of physical and mental material to be improved,
especially for mental development of students
b) The module work instructions are unclear
c) More detail in the supply of computers
2. Suggestions for street vendors
a) To the field supervisor to be able to guide and teach students further into
the division, so that the work given can be more easily understood
b) It is hoped that the collaboration between schools and government
agencies will be increased by giving opportunities to students to practice
field work (PKL)
c) Improve services that satisfy the community
3. Suggestions for students
a) Maintain the good name of government agencies
b) Maintain the good name of the school
c) Comply with established regulations
d) Prepare by mastering lessons to be applied in the industry, so that it makes
it easier to do fieldwork (PKL)
e) PKL participants who further enhance their quality and skills
f) Able to work together in carrying out existing tasks in the office
I. CONCLUSION
After carrying out this Field Work Practices (PKL), there is a lot of
experience gained from street vendors, such as being accountable for the work
provided, learning how to communicate well, so that it can be applied in
everyday life. In essence, the Field Work Practices activity is very useful for
developing what is prepared at school. Field Work Practices can be called as a
complement and the process of maturation or stabilization later when it is
involved in the world of work.
