1. The Department of Education must implement an academic freeze this year.

Supporting Statement 1:

There are tons of reasons why it should be implemented and these include the following: first,
this really affects the mental health of the students including also the teachers. And due to the
sudden isolation, a new survey says that sixty percent of students are experiencing depression.

Supporting Statement 2:

Second, this kind of setup also is very difficult because frankly to say, each one of us has
different state in life. Some people may afford to buy gadgets and have a good internet
connection, but some people may also struggle to have a stable connection and even financially,
especially in this Pandemic situation.

Supporting Statement 3:

And lastly, this doesn’t only affect the mental and emotional health of everybody, but this also
damage our physical health. A lot of students today engage the habit of not having a proper
amount of sleep, as they have deadlines to catch up too, which is not good because w hen
students routinely damage their sleeping time, their learning and memory will suffer. Also, their
motor skills can be impaired and it can even leave them susceptible to illnesses.

2. The Philippine government should provide mass immunization anti Covid-19.

Supporting Statement 1:

There are three reasons why the Philippines should provide mass immunization for anti Covid-
19. First, through mass immunization campaigns, this can increase awareness of vaccination and
may be appropriate in situations where new programs are to be initiated, in refugee situations
where people congregate into areas with little infrastructure, and in disease eradication efforts
when specific time goals are set.

Supporting Statement 2:

Also, this program can be used to counter contagious outbreaks, adopted as a repeated means
of sustained healthcare delivery, or applied where many people move through a specific place in
a short interval of time.
Supporting Statement 3:

Finally, this aim to maximize the health of a population, but such campaigns need to be
customized based on individual contraindications to immunization. So, this programs need to be
conducted ethically, with considerations of benefit versus risk and the need for detailed
education of healthcare workers and vaccinees.

3. Teachers will not be tapped to give out COVID 19-shots.

Supporting Statement 1:

We all know that there is a huge difference between the job of the Medical workers from the
educators. So obviously, teachers must not hold the responsibility to give out COVID 19-shots
because first and foremost, this isn’t what they worked and studied for. But, instead, teachers
could be tapped to help in disseminating information on COVID-19 vaccines and the government
immunization program.

Supporting Statement 2:

In addition, when we talk about giving out COVID 19-shots, this topic should really be held by
the experts because the life of the patient is at risk here.

Supporting Statement 3:

And lastly, the DOH should be responsible in this kind of activity and if for instance, they’ll ran
out of medical workers, they must still look at deploying pharmacists and physicians to become
authorized as the vaccinators to vaccinate because it was part already in their field, provided in
their job, and they already undergo safe administration of shots and management of adverse
event following immunization.
