Clinical Teaching Plan
Description: This course pertains to the care of older adults or the elderly regarding
their special needs and requirements. This includes social, physical, spiritual,
psychological, personal and individualized requirements for daily living. Lastly, it
includes learning the provision of holistic nursing care with utmost respect, acceptance
and dignity while putting into consideration the necessary adjustments according to
their level of activity and tolerance.
General Objective:
At the end of the session, the students will be able to develop knowledge and
appropriate skill in assessing the functional abilities of older adults and be able to
differentiate the activities between the two key divisions of functional ability namely,
the Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and Instrumental activities of Daily Living (IADL).
Plan of Activities:
To allow students to
8:45 am - 9:00 am Fifteen Minute Break perform self-care activities
and prepare for the post-
test
Method of Evaluation:
● a 15-Item quiz will be given about the topic discussed.
Rotation Requirement:
● Jamboard Participation
