Program Description : This training is designed for all Grade Six pupils of Albiga
Elementary School, Siaton 1 District Siaton,Negros
Oriental. .

Number of Participants : 38 pupils , 5 Resource Speakers, 1 GAD Coordinator

II. Rationale

Division Memorandum No. 119, S.2019 enjoins the field to observe the National Women’s
Month celebration and the schools are to conduct a Gender and Development (GAD) Orientation to
all Graduating Grade Six Pupils before graduation. This training is designed to help advocate Gender
concerns to students, teachers and parents.For the efficient and effective implementation of the said
activity, the expertise of Siaton PNP Child Protection Services Head is one of the speakers in this
orientation.
At the end of the one-day orientation-workshop, it is expected that the following will be achieved:

Objectives

1. To provide the participants with the basic gender principles;


2. To address the level of awareness on gender development (GAD) concepts and issues;
3. To clarify issues about Gender and Development.

Expected Final Outcome/Success Indicator:

Understand better the topics on Gender and Development which can help every individual to be safe
and secure from any harm, violence and any form of discrimination in all places and in different types of
circumstances.
