General guidelines

1. The Heritage Fest 2021 contest is an online event.


2. Fill the registration form to participate in the Heritage Fest 2021
3. All entries should be based only on the themes recommended for each competition.
4. The Heritage Fest competitions are rolled out in the language of English only.
5. Once your entry is ready for submission kindly visit our submit page to submit your entry.
6. The entries should be a video or an image in accordance to the guidelines of the
competition.
7. During registration, please select the relevant age category to know the competitions that
you are eligible for.
8. Registration Fee is Rs. 108/- per participant.
9. The participant can take part in multiple competitions by paying this one-time fee of
Rs.108/-
10. Once the registration is done, the participant will receive a unique registration ID.
11. The details of the registration will be sent over an email.
12. Please refer to demo videos and images to get more clarity on the procedure to submit
your entries.
13. All the images and videos should have the date and time stamp.
14. The winners of each contest will be adjudged by professionals who are experts in their
field.
15. Judges’ decision will be final.
16. The winners will be of 3 types – International Level, National Level (India) and State Level
(Karnataka)
17. The winners will get certificate, a book and a medal.
18. All participants will get an e-certificate from ISKCON Samskriti.
19. No submissions will be entertained after the last date for submission.

Last date for registration: August 23rd, 2021
Last date for submission of entries: August 30th, 2021
Live online quiz date: August 29th, 2021 (timings will be sent over email)
Announcement of results: September 30th, 2021

Guidelines:
Bhagavad-gita Shloka Chanting:
1. This contest is open for participants of age group 6-15 years.
2. Participants can chant any 3 shlokas from the following chapters of Bhagavad-gita.
a. For age groups 6-7 and 8-9 years: Chapter 4
b. For age groups 10-12 and 13-15 years: Chapter 2 along with translation/meaning.
3. For translations please refer to Bhagavad gita As It Is by Srila Prabhupada. Website link:

4. Please upload the video recording of the chanting in the submission form. The video size should
not be more than 150mb. The duration of the video should not be more than 2 mins.
5. The participant should mention his/her name in the beginning and the eyes need to be closed
while chanting.
Judgement criteria: Clarity in pronunciation, fluency, meter, translation (if applicable) & completion.
Vedic Chants:
1. This contest is open for participants of age group 6-15 years.
2. Participants can chant any 3 mantras in praise of Krishna or any devata.
3. Please upload the video recording of the chanting in the submission form. The video size should
not be more than 150mb. The duration of the video should not be more than 2 mins.
4. The participant should mention his/her name in the beginning and the eyes need to be closed
while chanting.
Judgement criteria: Clarity in pronunciation, fluency, meter, translation (if applicable) & completion.

Story telling:
1. This contest is open for participants of age group 6-15 years.
2. The students can narrate any story from Srimad Bhagavatam. Age-group-wise stories is given
below. The participant can choose any one of them to narrate:

3. Please upload the video recording of the narration in the submission form. The video size
should not be more than 150mb. The duration of the video should not be more than 5 mins.
4. The participant should mention his/her name in the beginning.
Judgment criteria: Title to the story, Voice modulation, Focus on content, Language proficiency and
Overall impact.

Pencil Shading:
1. This contest is open for participants of age group 10-15 years.
2. Theme is Krishna’s pastimes.
3. No template will be given. Participants to outline on their own.
4. The participants should mention their registration ID on the colour sheet.
5. Please upload a good resolution image in the submission form. Picture size not to exceed 5mb.
Judgement criteria: Creativity, Level of challenge, Visual appeal and Presentation.

Greeting Card Making:


1. This contest is open for participants of age group 6-9 years.
2. Theme is Birthday Greeting card to Lord Krishna.
3. Use of colours and other necessary enhancing items permitted.
4. The participants should mention their registration ID on the greeting card.
5. Please upload a good resolution image in the submission form. Picture size not to exceed 5mb.
Judgment criteria: Visual appeal, complexity in terms of efforts, wordings, neatness.

Painting:
1. This contest is open for participants of age group 10-15 years.
2. Theme is Dashavatara of Lord Vishnu.
3. Participants to do the outline. The participants can use crayons/paints/any other colors.
4. The participants should mention their registration ID on the colour sheet.
5. Please ensure a good quality of the picture before uploading. Picture size not to exceed 5mb.
Judgement criteria: Creativity, Visual appeal and Presentation.

Colouring:
1. This contest is open for participants of age group 3-9 years.
2. The outline sketch for the competition is as given below. Please take a print on a white sheet:

3. The participant can use colours like crayons, colour pencils and so on.
4. The participants should mention their registration ID on the colour sheet.
5. Please ensure a good quality of the picture before uploading. Picture size not to exceed 5mb.
Judgement criteria: Creativity, Visual appeal, complexity in terms of efforts and Presentation.

Rangoli Making:
1. This contest is open for participants of age group 10-15 years.
2. Theme is ‘Welcoming Krishna’.
3. Participants can use any traditional template design. The entire rangoli should be made within
a space of 5ftX5ft.
4. The participants should mention their registration ID next to the rangoli.
5. Please ensure a good quality of the picture before uploading. Picture size not to exceed 5mb.
Judgement criteria: Visual appeal, colour combination, complexity in terms of efforts, creativity and
neatness.

Classical Dance:
1. This contest is open for participants of age group 6-15 years.
2. Theme is Janmashtami – A tribute to Lord Krishna.
3. Participants can choose any of the classical dance forms for their performance.
4. Songs or imitation of dance from any movies, even if based on Puranas or compositions
of acharyas will not be entertained.
5. The participants should mention their name before beginning the performance.
6. The participants should upload the video recording of the dance in the submission form. The
size of the video should not exceed 150mb. The duration of the video should not be more than
5 mins.
Judgment criteria: Choreography, Co-ordination, Costume and Expression.

Classical Music - Vocal:


1. This contest is open for participants of age group 10-15 years.
2. Devotional compositions of great acharyas like — Purandara Dasa, Kanaka Dasa, Meera,
Vallabhacharya, Surdas, Annamacharya, Jayadeva, Ramdas, etc., may be performed.
3. Rendition can be accompanied with instruments/shruthi box.
4. The participants should mention their name before beginning the performance.
5. The participants should upload the video recording of the dance in the submission form. The
size of the video should not exceed 150mb. The duration of the video should not be more than
5 mins.
Judgement criteria: Voice quality, Raga, Bhava, Rhythm and Proficiency.

Handwriting:
1. This contest is open for participants of age group 6-15 years.
2. The English passage for different age groups is as given below. This passage should be written
on a white sheet:

IV. For age group 13-15 years, click here
3. The participants should mention their registration ID on the handwriting sheet.
4. Please ensure a good quality of the picture before uploading. Picture size not to exceed 5mb.
Judgement criteria: Creativity, Legibility, Neatness, Angle and word spacing.

Vedic Quiz:
1. This contest is open for participants of age group 8-15 years.
2. The quiz contest will be a live online quiz and time-based.
3. All questions need to be answered.
4. The questions will be from Vedic stories. The age-group-wise stories are as given below:

5. The quiz will take place on August 29th, 2021. More details will be shared over email.
Judgment criteria: The participant with the highest points scored in the shortest time duration will be
picked as the winner (automated)
