Module Assessment:

Instruction: Identify if the statements are correct or not. Provide your answer if the
statement is incorrect and provide your supporting idea if the statement is true.

1. One of the objectives of gymnastics is to enhance creativity through the

exploration of new movements and movement combination.
Yes, gymnastics has the goal of promoting and maintaining physical
health, as well as improving movement efficiency through grace, poise,
modesty, shape, and rhythm; enhancing creativity through the pursuit of
new movements and movement combinations; developing courage,
initiative, determination, and endurance; and encouraging participation
and enjoyment in gymnastics.
2. Tumbling is the most important because this is where the ability of the performer
is tested as he/she rolls to and from, twists, turn and springs about on the mat,
floor and the air.
Yes, tumbling teaches you how to change your body by jumping, flipping,
and tossing. Practicing these increases your strength and endurance, reducing
the chance of injury on the tumbling mat as well as in everyday life. Tumbling
teaches us how to roll correctly, lowering or eliminating the possibility of injury. If
your joints are strong enough to take the repeated pounding, your legs are strong
enough to jump into back tucks and your core can keep you straight in a
handstand, you are very well prepared for high-level stunting.

Module Assessment

1. How important is warm-up?

Before engaging in some form of physical activity, it is important to warm
up properly. Warming up is used to avoid damage by raising the body's
heart and muscle temperature. Warm muscles improve reflexes and
reduce the time it takes to contract a muscle by increasing the rate of
energy output.
2. Explain the importance of cooling down after the workout?
Warming up will also aid with muscle soreness and injury prevention. After
your workout, cool down to allow your heart rate and blood pressure to
gradually return to their pre-workout levels. Cooling down is especially
necessary for competitive endurance athletes, such as marathon runners,
since it aids in blood flow regulation.
3. Safety suggestions in gymnastics are least important in gymnastic activities as
teaching the prerequisites and to prevent injuries while learning gymnastics.
It is important to keep students safe while they learn new skills such as
jumping and tumbling. When mats are wet, they become a slipping hazard
for students, so keep them dry and clean. It is important to teach students
how to land. Students understand how to start a skill but not how to finish
it. Make sure that the students practice landing on their feet. Until the
class begins a tumbling unit. Examine the school district's safety protocols
before starting a tumbling unit in the classroom. If you follow these safety
tips, you won't get hurt. If an accident happens in your class, immediately
alert the school nurse.
