INTERIM TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT DIVISION, NUCTECH COMPANY
CONDUCTS X-RAY MACHINE TRAINING IN CAGAYAN DE ORO

CAGAYAN DE ORO – The Interim Training and Development Division (ITDD) of the
Bureau of Customs together with the X-Ray Inspection Project and Nuctech
Company Limited conducted a three-day training on Basic Operation and Image
Analysis Training of Nuctech Mobile X-Ray Machine at the Port of Cagayan de Oro,
May 12-14, 2021.
The training was participated by various personnel from X-Ray Division, Customs
Intelligence and Investigation Services (CIIS) and Enforcement and Security Security
Service (ESS).
The training aims to provide BOC personnel knowledge on the use of the scanning
machine and to develop their skills on generating X-Ray images using the said X-Ray
machines. Aside from the lecture the personnel also undergone hands-on training
using the machine.
To test their competency an examination was also conducted for qualification and
certification of the personnel as a proof that they are capable of operating the
machine.
District Collector John Simon also stressed the importance of such training to hone
and refresh the skills of the BOC personnel. It is also a preparation for Port of
Cagayan de Oro’s effort to restore the international containerized shipment in
Macabalan Port in Cagayan de Oro which is expected to generate additional revenue
for the bureau.
