1. How do I understand myself now that I have learned about the philosophical and sociological
perspectives of the self?
- I understand that I am unique and that other people around me has a different perception of what they
think I am. The self is how I act, it is based on their interactions with me. Other people may think
otherwise and judge not knowing who I am as a person, it may be known to others but not to me.

2. What led up to this self?

- Interactions and experiences with different people make up the self or myself. It creates my own person
that is based on where I grew up to the traditions and customs I know and practice every day. For
example, my family introduced me to religion and that made a huge impact on what I know and how I
act in my day-to-day life.
