ROTARY CLUB SAN PABLO CITY

04 December 2020
Introduction

“Learning must continue, education must continue.” A statement said by the Department of Education Secretary

Leonor M. Briones . DepED ensure that despite of the COVID-19 pandemic the children would continue their

classes , wether it is online or modular learning. The two strategies of blended learning will be done inside their

home as to follow the health protocol of DOH yet there are differences indeed. Due to these new normal a lot of

students are worrying that if they have not enough money to buy load or the gadget itself they wouldn’t pass the

school year.

The problem is not all students can afford the said gadgets in order to join the online learning. Let us say that

they can choose the modular learning but some students are not capable for the self-paced or self learning so

they tend to choose the online. Students of the Grade 12 GAS chose the online learning yet, sometimes they are

not able to join for some reasons. Maybe they can’t avail the internet or much worst are the gadget they are

using causes a problem. Some factors on why does students can’t afford the gadgets that they need are parents

may not have work to earn and buy. Another factor is their parents may have work but the expenses are more

important to buy the gadget.

On the other hand there is these Club namely Rotary Club which is an international service organization whose

stated purpose is to bring together business and professional leaders in order to provide humanitarian service.

There are over 35,000 member of it worldwide known as Rotarians. These club will surely help to build our

project. The project is to sell pots made from recycled materials through online. In that it will raise a fund that

can help students who has difficulty in providing their gadget for online class.
Rationale

Santisimo Rosario Integrated high school, a public school in San Pablo City having difficulties in delivering the

basic education by means of blended learning. Even though, students specifically grade 12 Gas have modules

for each subjects, these would not be fulfilled at all. It is important to have conversations between students and

teachers to build good relationships and ameliorate social skills. All of these could be true if all students have

their own gadgets as their tools to communicate effectively among their classmates and teachers. That is the

reason why this project is important to conduct. As a students and proponents of this notable project proposal,

this must be put into practice to make online communication works effectively. This project will help all the

students to join online classes and to reach them out as well.
