SP ORDINANCE NO. 3439-2008 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF SP ORDINANCE NO. 3383-2008, BY ROLLING BACK THE FARE RATE THEREOF, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. Section 1 of SP Ordinance No. 3383-2008, which amended SP Ordinance Nos. 2708-2005 and 962-1993, entitled “An Ordinance regulating the Operation ‘of Motorized Tricycle-for-Hire, Providing Mechanism for their Registration and Issuance of franchises, Registration and Permits and Imposing Penalties for Violation thereof, and for Other Purposes,” is hereby amended by rolling back the fare rate thereof to read, as follows: “SECTION 10.1. FARES. The fares to be charged by the driver and the grantee of MTOP to every passenger shall be as follows: For every succeeding First Four(4) Km. or fraction thereof Kilometers (No increase) a, Regular Fare - P 7.00 P1.00 b. Student - P 600 0.75 c. Elderly (Sr. Citizen) - P 6.00 0.75 4. Disabled - P 600 0.75 Student discount is not applicable during Sundays and Holidays and the student should present a valid school ID or must be wearing a school uniform.” SECTION 2. REPEALING CLAUSE. Any existing Ordinance or portion thereof found inconsistent hereof, is hereby repealed and/or modified accordingly. SECTION 3. EFFECTIVITY This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its approval Let copies of this Ordinance be furnished to the Offices of the City Mayor, City Administrator, TEB, LTTMO, Permits & Licensing Division, CMO, Presidents of Transport Associations and Cooperatives, Consumers’ Groups, Academe and Students’ Groups, and to all concerned for widest dissemination, information and appropriate action.
