MY OVERALL BRAND MISSION STATEMENT

Social media is constantly changing and adapting in our world.

Therefore media literacy is extremely important. Not only does
this refer to using media to connect with friends and family, but
also in a professional manner. The vision for this blog is to
outline the different ways each social media platform can be used
to increase professional connections.
Audience

MY IDEAL AUDIENCE

mainly women between the ages of 18-22

and unemployed
need to be sociable so may be involved in
activities such as Greek life around campus
audience does not vary between my
platforms, but the interaction on them does
vary
need to be involved with social media in
their daily life ie, they like posting online
and are active on their accounts
TikTok
TikTok itself would be a marketplace
for my brand where consumers can
go and educate themselves on my
material right on the app instead of
needing to be directed to my website
to do so.

Accounts Instagram
My vision statement on Instagram would be
to spread awareness of my brand,
consequently directing them through my
Instagram bio directly to my website.

Twitter
I would use Twitter to see if the goal
for my overall brand, being the need to
use social media professionally as well
as socially, was being received correctly
by audience.

Content I INTEND TO USE THE SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT RULE
OF THIRDS

Pillars 1/3 of content promotes business and converts audience--Instagram is where I will promote
this type of content the most frequently because it is where I plan to raise awareness for my
website
content will be posted every Tuesday and Thursday, one post a day, with the focus on
logos in pictures directing viewers to my website
1/3 of content shares ideas and stories from thought leaders--Twitter is where I will promote
this type of content because it will allow for a deeper connection with my audience
content will be posted Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday, writing about two to three
tweets each day, these should focus on audience connection by asking questions
consumers might have or bringing up important issues about professionalism in social
media marketing
1/3 of content is original brand content--TikTok is where I will promote this type of content
frequently because the app allows for less of a tight framework and more personable
connection with consumers
content will be posted every Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday one post a day, with the
videos focusing on following current trends or taking an educational standpoint in order
to gain a follower base
Voice and

Tone

THE OVERALL VOICE AND

TONE IS EDUCATIONAL.
x
the voice and tone of my website and social media
sites, although educational, should never be
presented in an uptight or "know it all" manner,
but rather invite collaboration on important topics
adding to this, there should always be a tone of
professionalism on all my sites due to the
emphasis on professionalism throughout my
website
lastly, the tone should also be inviting and
supportive to the young and unexperienced
market I am trying to connect with
Colors

WHITE PURPLE BLACK

MY COLOR PALETTE

I want my colors to reflect simplicity within my brand. The designs on my website use
black and white frequently in order to create cohesiveness within my page. The use of
the color purple is used as a pop of color but still reflects a sense of simplicity and
calming provided by the other two colors.
Instagram Hashtags

Branded #socialblog would be a good hashtag to use because

it would raise awareness for my website, with the
goal of Instagram in mind being a tool to increase

Hashtags
website visits
#socialmediastrategy would also be a good
hashtag to use on my Instagram posts because it
would allow for intrigue about my brand without
giving too much information therefore muting the
need to visit my page
TikTok Hashtags In general Instagram hashtags should be used less
frequently, with each post only containing a
#fyp should be used because it is the most
hashtag if my audience interaction is low
popular hashtag, therefore allowing for a wider
audience outreach
#socialmediamarketing also has 280.3million Twitter Hashtags
views on TikTok so that would be important to
#socialmedia could be used when tweeting, but specifically in the
use on the app as well in order to target those
middle of the tweet
interested in my topic
for example: "do you need help creating engagement with your
TikTok hashtags are the most important to use
brand on #socialmedia..."?
because they target curated pages that may be
in general Twitter hashtags should be used frequently to get attention
interested in my brand
but vary depending on what is being tweeted or what is trending
at least two hashtags should be included in each
it is more important to use hashtags in the middle of a sentence or use
post
trending hashtags rather than planning specific hashtags to use
Words and

Phrases to
Do not use any slang as a
Avoid brand: if a brand tries to
hard to fit into trends it
Holistic: this word is Viral: never set the goal may come off as "cringe"
overused and therefore of something to go "viral" to viewers, it is better to
has lost its meaning; does this is unrealistic as it blend in to the masses by
not add anything to a does not provide a goal following trends with
social media post or blog with data that can more videos or picture styles
rather than with the
post so it is best avoided attainably be reached
language people use
Capitalization

THE RULES ON
MY CAPITALIZATION STYLE

TikTok: no capitalization should be used, everything in lower

case, making the format feel more personal and less branded

Instagram: capitalization should be used at the beginning of

sentences but captions should still be kept short (one
sentence or a couple words)

Twitter: proper grammar rules should be followed meaning

capitalization should be used at the beginning of each sentence,
multiple sentences/characters should be used and sentences
should feel more formal

Crediting

Guidelines

When do you need to you need to credit someone if any of your thoughts or ideas came from something
they published or if they are in your content (via picture/video or quoted in the
credit someone? caption)

What format should the the credit should first provide the name of the individual, then their position in the
company, then lastly the company they work for itself
credit follow?

Are there different levels of there are different levels of crediting depending on the prevalence the individual has in
your post: for example if someone is in a photograph with you, tagging them may be
crediting? If so, what are they? enough credit, but if they helped write a caption or come up with a part of the website
more crediting is needed
