A. Title STUDENT LED-HAZARD MAPPING SCAVENGER

HUNT
B. Rationale Amidst the pandemic, Rolando R. Andaya Sr.
memorial High School still need to continue its
program and operation in response to the
pursuant in the DepEd Order No.23, s. 2015
entitled Student-led school Watching and Hazard
Mapping, the Department of Education (DepEd),
through the Disaster Risk Reduction and
Management Council (SDRRMC), reiterates the
implementing guidelines stipulated in the
aforementioned Order in all school at elementary
and secondary levels effective School. All schools
are required to perform the activity within the first
month of the school opening of the current school
year.
Students who are identified as vulnerable
group should be train with the capacity to know,
understand and apply safety and security
mechanism to build the foundation of resiliency’s
initiate strategy it is imperative to enhance the
awareness of learners in the hazards and possible
risk inside the school premises.However,in this
new normal it is clearly understood that students
are not allowed to stay inside the school premises,
so the proponent initiate this activity which allow
parent to do the hazard mapping in school with
the supervision of SDRRM team.
This is an initial step in engaging not just the
learners but the parents as well in disaster
preparedness and management. This activity will
raise awareness and equip parents with the
information and skills necessary for addressing
the impact of hazards. Through this activity, the
DepEd creates an opportunity for learners to
understand their role in disaster risk reduction
and management (DRRM) and at the same time
create hazard mapping to be useful in determining
the risks of staying in a certain area. It can help
parents become aware of the dangers they might
face from natural disasters in a specific area.
However, in this new normal parent will be joining
the activity by observing proper IATF protocol.

This activity proposal aims to address the
school increase participation of parents in
addressing potential hazard and risks in school to
be included in SIP crafting.
C. Objectives This activity has the following objectives:

1. Connect with the local SSG Officers and

other club officers, parent officers for an
orientation on Hazard Mapping
2. Conduct Parent-led hazard mapping to all
RRASMHS School buildings and classroom.
3. Create hazard map.
4. Communicate hazard mapping in all
advisers and subject teachers.
5. Include school hazard findings in School
crafting of SIP
D. Expected The expected outputs of this innovations are the

Strategies -Assign SWT member in School.
The moderator should ensure that all SWT members have a
pen and notebook for note taking during the school watch.

laboratory, workshop, play area, garden, and any open
area of the school.
