¾ Calcium carbonate F, M & C can be used as a weighting agent.

Applications/ ¾ Calcium carbonate F, M & C can be used as a Lost Circulation
Functions Material.
¾ Calcium carbonate F, M & C can be used as a bridging material.
¾ Calcium carbonate F, M & C can be formulated in a range of
particle sizes.

Advantages ¾ Effective LCM material

Recommended ¾ As a weighting agent as per the calculated mass balance equation.

Treatment ¾ As a bridging material 5 - 50 lbs/ bbl (14.3 - 143 kg/m3).
¾ In a LCM pill 5 -100 lbs/ bbl (14.3 - 286 kg/m3).

¾ As a weighting agent the maximum density in a fresh water system

Limitations is 14 lb/ gal (1680 kg/ m3)
¾ As a bridging material the particle size selection must be
engineered to the average pore throat sizes to be bridged in which
case the use of OPTA-CARB is indicated and preferred.
¾ In a LCM pill, Calcium carbonate F, M & C will increase the
density of the base mud that is used.

Packaging Calcium carbonate F, M & C is packaged in 25 kg (55.1 lb), 50 kg (110.2

lb) sacks and 1.0 MT Big Bags.
