Caring for the Major Organs of the Body
How do you keep your body organs healthy? Let is discuss some of the ways to
develop proper healthy habits.

Proper Nutrition
A balanced diet contains all the nutrients which your body needs. If you skip
breakfast, your body will lack some nutrients that you need to feel energetic and
stay alert
A balanced diet contains all the nutrients which your body needs. Eating a
balanced diet helps you stay healthy.
Food contains six I kind of nutrients carbohydrates, fats, proteins and vitamins,
minerals and water. Eating three meals a day without two snacks composed
mostly of fruits, vegetables, lean meat, dairy products and carbohydrates to
ensure proper nutrition.

Exercise
Another way to stay healthy is by exercising. Playing active games, as well as
running and climbing, is a good form of exercise. Also exercise helps you burn or
use up the food you ate instead of sorting it in your body as fat.

Recreation
Joining games and sports are examples of recreational activities. They give you
enjoyment and satisfaction. They allow us to express creativity and master new
skills. Joining games and fun activities helps you learn skills specific to a sport or
activity. They exercise our brain and relax muscles. They also help you gain
confidence and meet new friends.

Sleep
Sleep helps your body make repairs caused by daily activities. It also helps your
body store up energy for the next day. Other body systems are active which you
sleep
Health Habits
Keeping yourself healthy also means having a regular medical checkup.Find
out about your health history. You can do this by visiting your doctor for a
regular check-up at least once a year.Doctor can often see signs of infections and
disease before you aware of them. Take an active interest in your health.

Generalization
1. Why is breakfast considered the most important meal of the day?
2. Why is exercising important? What benefits do we get from it?
3. Janet woke up and skipped breakfast. During lunchtime, she ate bag of chip
and drank soda. That afternoon, she went to her volleyball practice. She felt weak
and unfit to continue with the practice. Explain why Janet did not have the energy
