SCIENCE.

A. ACTIVATE
ACTIVITY A.1
1.What is the overall goal of basic education science?
To demonstrate understanding of basic science concepts and application of
science inquiry skills.
2.What is the content of science curriculum?
The content of science curriculum is all about concept and skills in life
sciences, physics and chemistry. The science curriculum is designed to assist
students in developing fundamental scientific ideas and understanding
about biological and physical components of the world, as well as the
processes by which they acquire this knowledge and understanding.
3. How is the science curriculum organized?
The curriculum at this level is divided into three sections: scientific
knowledge, skills, and scientific attitudes and values. Scientific Knowledge—
This domain includes concepts, facts, rules, and principles relating to
biological, chemical, and physical processes, as well as astronomy and
technology.

EVIDENCE FROM THE CG
Science is for everyone Science is blind to a person’s,
race, religion, ZIP code or

opportunities for all. Science is
for people who want to invest in
the future of our children. If
anyone out there wants to invest
in the future of our children, then
science is for you
Science is both content and Science is both a body of
process. knowledge and a process. In
school, science may sometimes
seem like a collection of isolated
and static facts listed in a
textbook, but that's only a small
part of the story. Just as
importantly, science is also a
process of discovery that allows
us to link isolated facts into
coherent and comprehensive
understandings of the natural
world. Science is exciting.
School science should be relevant Science is just as important as
and useful. learning other subjects like
mathematics and history and you
can learn in the regular courses
in school or take online science
courses as well.
Because the subject is so vast,
learning the basics right from
your early learning days will
enable you to decide whether
you want to pursue a higher
education in the subject.

C. ABSTRACT
Activity C.1

1. Science is for everyone.

2. Science is both content and process.
3. School science should be relevant and useful.
4. School science should nurture interest in learning.
5. School science should demonstrate a commitment to the development
of a culture of science.
6. School science should promote the strong link between science and
technology including indigenous activity.
7. School science should recognize that science and technology reflect,
influence and shape our culture.

ACTIVITY C.2
 The first conceptual framework consist of inquiry skills and
scientific attitudes in the middle are the life science, physical
science and earth and space science. In short we need inquiry
skills and scientific attitudes to come with these three.
 The second one is like a pattern that if will not do it properly there
is a possibility that you cannot achieve the result that you want.
Compare the two frameworks. What patterns, common concepts,
themes, target outcomes do you see?

There’s a pattern where you can see that their main goal is to come up with a
great and brilliant idea.

What do these themes and patterns means to you?

III. SYNTEHSIS
However, science has a significant impact on culture in many modern
civilizations, as it shapes cultural worldviews, notions, and thinking
processes. This can happen as a result of the unplanned, gradual diffusion
of scientific concepts into culture.
