THE 3S OF EVERY STUDENTS:
SCHOOL, STRESS AND SELF
A Mental Health Awareness Seminar
I. Rationale
The brain may only weigh about three pounds, but it also needs our attention and
care just as any other organs of the body. Mental health includes our emotional,
psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. The mental
health of students is of concern as they cope up with their studies, social, school and
family relationships, and many others. Addressing these mental problems will help them
determine how they can handle the stress of being a student, relate to others, and make
healthy choices.
Students face difficulties especially because of COVID-19 and the stress from
online classes. They may never have the same problems but it is important to be aware
that what they are feeling is real. In order to be productive in their studies, they need to
have a good mental well-being. This training program aims to provide emotional support
to students for their mental health.
In collaboration with the Brgy. Batasan Hills LGU and Interact Club of Batasan
Hills National High School (BHNHS), the training program’s goal is to help students
within the community overcome stress and mental health issues through a seminar and
forum
