Globalization Can’t Live Without Media

Globalization and Media are complementary dynamics that create the global village.

More than yet another globalized sector, the media are a partial cause of globalization.

The media is largely a cultural commodity, and it is possible that the transition of such a

product will impact the culture of the recipient. While globalization, on the other hand,

addresses a number of developments in social, political, and economic terms.

Globalization without media won’t work because globalization itself goes hand in hand

with media and evidently, these two are correlated with each other making them a

tandem. Media affects all areas globalization covers, this includes politics and

economics. Today, through international news broadcasts, television programming,

emerging technology, film, and music, media is seen as playing a key role in enhancing

globalization. In the study of globalized media, globalization has as much to do with the

organizational structure of a media sector as with the goods created by a media

company, vertical integration of multinational media corporations becomes a critical

feature.

In conclusion, Globalization without media practically won’t work since media is one of

the key factors in propagating globalization to the world. It has helped globalization from

the very first start, until now. Without media, globalization would be interacted by people

in a more difficult way than having media around.
